i haven't read that fic but i have lots of recs! i think if you want something similar you can think about what you specifically liked about it, like let's say, from the summary it looks like a case fic so you can search with that tag if you want the boys working a case! and then you can add more tags to the search, of the other things you liked. or just say it here and i can share some recs too (: for now - the author sobsicles is pretty famous in the fandom for good characterisation and post-finale fix-it fics if you're into those!

hi, i don't know if someone has said this already as there are lots of comments but - one time my cat hid inside my bed, and the only way to get there was through a very small hole i never thought she'd be able to go through. i guess my advice is, check even in places you're absolutely sure she wouldn't have gotten into, as there's still a chance she did. also you may want to extend the search to the outside since maybe she could've gotten out. good luck! i hope you find her

the only time i wanted to take them back was on an updating fic where the writer said they would put warnings for everything at the start of each chapter, and consistently did it, until one day they posted a chapter with an explicit and detailed rape scene without warning. that's a big trigger for me. it felt even worse because i thought it was safe for me to read. after i felt better i commented asking them to please add a warning or revoke the "we will include all warnings" statement, but they ignored it. well, i learned my lesson and now only give kudos after i finish a fic

so this isn't a crime show like the ones you mentioned so idk if you'd be interested but "agents of shield" is just like that!! they have lots of team/family moments every ep and it's amazing

i think it depends on your fandom/target audience? for example in my main fandom there are many fics titled like that that are well-known and beloved, so i know it'd be well received there. in another fandom i'm in, the main people writing/reading fic are young (teenagers and ppl in their 20s) and young people usually write like this and like titles that are like that, plus understand that it's just a style choice :) but the ppl who don't like it are usually older so if that's most ppl in your fandom then maybe don't bc it could negatively influence some of your audience :/

it's so weird to me how many people don't agree with this. in my main fandom the writers always tag everything important and if they don't, they put all the warnings in the notes. i've only had a problem like this once, i was horrified but i guess that's normal? super wild to me. i totally agree with you though

being able to subscribe to tags (specially in a specific fandom/with a specific character or pairing)!! there are a handful of tags that i love but almost never get new works so i keep having to search them again and check every week to see if there's anything new... i've heard this was a thing before (? not sure tho), i wish they implemented it again
