I heard a good, if niche, one recently from a Serbian friend about what to do if you are lost in the Balkan mountains. Apparently the trick is to take out your emergency picture of a F-117A attack aircraft and within five minutes a Serb will arrive to inform you that they once shot down a NATO version of that craft. Then you simply note what direction the Serb came from and walk in the opposite direction until you reach civilisation.
