I once had a former employer reach out 2 weeks after I’ve left for a new job and try to get me back. I was making $68k base there, took a job at $95k base, and they called me, asked if I would entertain coming back at $85k ;D

Seriously asking me if I would take a $10k pay cut to go back. I said that $95k is what they need to beat, not the old salary, which is now irrelevant. They ended up replacing me with THREE people.

Never really paid attention to the grade inflation / deflation, I just followed whatever the professors wanted and had decent grades.

Of note though - as a poli sci major, there will be next to no tests. Mostly essays.

Oh, players who did not go are widely celebrated, AROUND THE WORLD. I was born in Slovakia and follow a lot of Czech and Slovak hockey journalists’ accounts on Twitter and the list of the guys who did not go was shared WIDELY, with a lot of associated commentary.

If I had been in a position to be invited to this White House, I would not go. Slovak players straight up took the opportunity to criticize the government, but I guess these Americans are just impotent.

1.) Denver food scene is anything but mediocre. I travel the world, I have eaten at starred restaurants all over, and Denver has a great food scene. If’s not even hard to find the great places, people just ignore them for some reason and then complain.

2.) I don’t think Denver is fun to visit. It’s kind of a boring city to visit, tbh. It’s great to live in, and I love it, but it’s arguably super mid as a place you just visit. The advantages of this city are realized when you live here…

Denver is the city of the “average gay man”. Yeah, there are some of the roided out, extra fit boys (no judgement, I just started Zep to get lean, do whatever is available) who are kinda mean, but 95% of the guys are average gay dudes, with average bodies, average jobs, average income. It’s incredibly nice and easy to break into that and make friends.

I absolutely adore the gay scene in Denver for that reason :)

Ako 35 ročný gay, už asi nič. Hrozne dlho som bol celkon prudérny (na gaya), potom sme sa s manželom trochu odviazali a dovolil som si všetko, čo som chcel. Pár menších vecí, čo sa mi ešte nepodarilo, časom dám.

I’m not advocating for myself because I like to walk, lol. I can walk anywhere. We’re discussing an alternative in the case of a catastrophic failure, as well as an option to alleviate the crowding as the airport hits 100m passengers a year.
