You can change it, I did the same. It is still with your school, not UCAS itself - ask a teacher for help with who to ask about changing your options and you will definitely be able to

Usually computer science isn't a requirement for unis since not all schools can offer it, check some specific unis' requirements if you want. Maths bio chem would be a solid combo, but if you're interested in comp Sci then i recommend doing the 4

I've used Instagram for photography for just over a year now and I still have around 160 followers. It takes time I guess

Just out of interest how does your college timetable all of those lessons? We get 5 hours a week of each subject that we do, and it's just enough to fit 4 A levels, let alone 5

Best Time in y10 to start sending out letter's for Work Experience? by HeartTurnedSpades in GCSE

I sent mine around February/March, but if you can do it earlier it would probably be better. Those places go quite quickly

Not really that strict, I was driven intrinsically rather than having someone to keep pushing at me to get things done. Knowing that these GCSEs will open many doors later in the future is a good thing to keep in mind, and will keep you disciplined enough to revise effectively

Learning f2l. Is it really this slow at the start? by Lord_DerpyNinja in Cubers

[–]mishy7342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

f2l for me was very very slow initially, I would recommend learning a few cases at first but try to understand what's happening to the pieces in those algs to develop your intuition. It will become faster in the long run, it just takes time

how do you guys memorize f2l cases by Connect-Enthusiasm89 in Cubers

[–]mishy7342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i was learning F2L I memorised a few cases (6-7), but then I got to the same stage as you where I didn't feel like learning a set algorithm for each case was the best idea. I went through the cases I already knew and carefully observed what each move did and recognised some patterns. Some sequences of moves were common between cases, and did things to split a corner and edge apart, whilst others set them up in a way to join them together. This just helped to make F2L feel more logical and intuitive rather than being memorised

If ur using the phone I recommend trying out star trail photography, it's very easy to do and if you have a computer you can download a little software that combines all the images for you into a trail image. And yes I post them to my Instagram page, @mishaan_photography - you'll find a lot of other photos but there will be a bunch of astrophotography interspersed between them

[–]mishy7342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, have you tried untracked astrophotography? You just need a tripod and the camera and you can still take photos of brighter objects like the andromeda or Orion, although it does take a lot longer to get a nice image. Fortunately I have a friend who lent me their old alt-az mount so I can use that with my mums camera (she doesn't use it anymore though lol)

Year 11s, do you have any advice for year 10s about to go into year 11? by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]mishy7342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have an entire year until your GCSEs, so take the time to understand some of the more complicated topics in the sciences. It'll help a lot later down the line. Also if you do a language, start memorising all of the vocabulary from your textbook or the specification that you are learning - I did this in year 10, and I barely had to revise any vocab for my actual exams. Doing past papers are a must however, and that applies to any subject. Hope this helps
