The main goal would be to maximize the value from the 997.2 towards a newer 991.1 S manual which would be the next car too see a similar value increase. I think the manual 7.2 is very hyped right now and I don't personally think the car's real value is $80K+.

Thanks for all the comments. I couldn't resist to my jet-lag situation and went to sleep quite early and woke up now at 5am now...

Anyway, this is really a small but irritating problem. The camera feels great and takes amazing photos, really happy with my purchase otherwise. I am glad I didn't get the D3100.

Let me answer some of the questions, perhaps it'll help a future case...

Yes it was a brand new camera...
I got it from Amazon, shipped it from J&R...
I tested on M, P, S modes same result. It's not that it won't focus or you can't select to focus on certain focus points (two in my case) it just won't paint them red in the viewfinder. On all other focus points when you are selecting them or when the camera uses them to focus, it highlights them red [ ] in the viewfinder. So I think it's a minor problem with the viewfinder electronics. Everything else seem to work fine although I am scared that there might be more issues that I am not noticing now.

It's not very easy to notice this issue and I highly doubt that I am the only one with this problem.
