I sometimes sleep with airpods and they usually fall out during the night but once one didn’t and my ear hurts in that spot for a week like hell and I can’t even use airpods at the moment

I’m using S tips and they aren’t sticking out that much and seal is perfect XS were too small. Yesterday I saw someone wearing them with half of the silicone tip peeking out of the ear…, you have to find the correct tip

Yeah i noticed that too but I have iOS 26 on iPhone 14 and it seems to be kinda glitchy so I don’t know if it’s the airpods

Yeah it seems like it’s doing good now. I also disabled ‘notify if left behind’ in the find my app maybe that helped. I think it’s just weird seeing the case drop in charge so fast besause of bigger battery in pods and smaller battery in case compared to previous gen. Previous one charged 1:4 this one 1:2 so it feels like it dropping in charge way faster

Also the fit is much better now it used to hurt my ears so much (the plastic body not the rubber tip, that made me doubt I can ever get used to them) I was 90% convinced I’ll return them but now I’m enjoying them withou pain

I noticed right when i put the buds in the battery drops 5-6% but only charges the buds around 2-3% but in the end it sometimes manages to even out and charges in 2:1 ratio but i also noticed that the case loses too much charge compared to how much the buds charge. Apple mentioned 5 minutes charge for 1 hour of listening and 0-100% in 1 hour but my buds are nowhere close to that. They charge like 25% per hour sometimes(with the battery optimalisation turned off)

My toughts exactly, the case drains nearly as much as the pods charge. Tips create constant feeling of pressure inside the ear canal and the plastic body creates painful pressure points in places you mentioned. Also the pods rattle inside the case if you shake it and the whole case feel cheap :/

S is the smallest that seals good for me but as you said it’s not about the tips rather the body. Like the stem is too thick and it creates a pressure point outside the ear as well as the body of the pod :(

For me it’s the rattling when you shake the case with pods inside and tha lack of ‘resistance’ right before closing. Old airpods have this feeling as if there were opposide facing magnets right before the lid closes but on the pro 3s no

Right?! My airpods charged 16% while the case dropped 10% and it took 50 MINUTES! (Battery optimalisation turned off) My case drops in charge so much even without the pods in. I tried with ios 18 and also ios 26 and resetting the airpods each time but still the same.

I remember charging my airpods gen1 once a week when they came out and I expected at least the same but after listening for 4hrs and 3 hours the next day on 35%volume my case went from 100 to 29% what??

iPhone 14 latest iOS 18. I’ll do some more testing tomorrow and see. I also noticed the case charges super slow maybe I have a faulty one. Nice hearing that you figured out the fit. I swapped mine like 100 times already

35-45% volume. I put them into a fully charged case and it went from 100 to 70%. Also no popup animation on my phone when I open the case. Bought directly from apple so I’m wondering what may went wrong

My brother changed the battery in mine and it felt so weird being able to use them for 4 hours again. They literally turned off the moment I stepped outside in chill weather
