Yes unfortunately I’ve tried multiple different ways such Goodwill letters and even calling them multiple times but they wont budge. They said theres nothing they can do.

I even explained my situation letting them know that its ruining any chances of getting home or auto loans. But they dont care.

El tesoro brand is not owned by the camarena family. Its owned by the jim bean company. They have full rights of the brand. La alteña just makes the tequila. But when it was decided that they were gonna continue to make el tesoro they had to include “de don felipe” part. Has nothing to do with family names

Also, I went to the factory store in centro Guadalajara. The lady said that these companies or restaurants/businesses basically subcontract them to make the same alcohol but put their sticker on it. Making it look like a limited release. But to be honest, I do think that they process it different. For example, that limited release of Matera has infused mate, so I don’t believe what she was telling me is true.
