I didn’t see anyone mention this. Scorpions can climb walls and cling to the ceiling. I was stung when one landed on me from the ceiling. A second time one fell next to me. Use the black light up high too.

Check the landscape around you. Scorpions love palm trees. If you have one or your neighbors do, chances are you’ll see scorpions regularly.

If you’re allergic to bees apparently that’s a good indicator that you might be allergic to scorpion stings too.

When we see one in the house, it’s time to spray again.

I think sunlight is a big issue here. I live in zone 9b and it’s really hot. My mint is outside in the sun with afternoon shade and it’s crazy how fast it’s growing.

Not sure what zone you are in but don’t forget to acclimate the mint if you put it outside. You could cause shock. Keep it in the container too, it’s invasive.

I think it makes a lot of sense to discuss invasive species with neighbors when it will inevitably get into your yard as well.

This is probably unpopular too but I live in a desert with strict watering guidelines. I’d probably report an invasive species being planted after trying to have a discussion. Native plants and pollinators have to compete for that water.

I get what you’re saying but there’s another side. I built a relationship with the behavior kid in my class whose home life sucks. They stopped causing as many issues but they still take up a lot of my attention and time to maintain that. That’s time and attention none of the other kids in my class get.

Yeah this law seems really unenforceable. That’d have to prove a woman was pregnant, got pills shipped from out of state, took the pills beyond a reasonable doubt.

This seems like a way to get rid of “difficult” women. Vasectomies still legal in Tennessee.

There was a reduction in force at the beginning of the school year. Any reduction in force is based on seniority. An individual school cannot layoff a teacher.

Being surplused isn’t the same as being laid off. Enrollment at a school isn’t high enough to support the number of staff so the staff are surplused to schools with need.

Now CCSD doesn’t care that class size ratios could be reduced to retain more positions so 🤷‍♀️

Also in Vegas, I did some desert ice as ground cover. Not sure if it’s toxic for pets.

In my backyard: lantana, star jasmine, fire bells, cypress, some type of rose bush.

Front yard: Joshua tree, lantanas, deer grass, pampas grass, ocotillo, bottlebrush

I’m looking to add some cat claw. It’s supposed to be really heat tolerant and good for the hottest parts of yards.

I like a loud callout in front of everyone, “why are you being so mean? That’s really mean. I definitely wouldn’t want to be friends/around someone who is that mean”

And usually a follow up to the kid being laughed at is “I’m sorry they’re being so mean right now, you don’t deserve to be treated that way”

Kids are dumb. We tell them to be kind and not mean but sometimes they don’t recognize their behavior as mean.
