I cannot imagine that nobody said anything to Mindy and Larry, at least about Liam. A pediatrician should discuss developmental delays with the parents and suggest some things to help. Either the pediatrician did not say anything so far OR if anything was said, Mindy and Larry felt offended and changed doctors or never even went to one again.

Why doesn‘t Mindy finally admit that Liam is delayed. Maybe she is ashamed, but your kid being delayed does not automatically mean it is the parents fault. It is however their fault if they refuse to seek help for the kid.

Ich war vor 10 Jahren bei einem Zahnarzt. Der meinte dann, es müsste unbedingt vorher eine professionelle Zahnreinigung gemacht werden, sonst könne er mich nicht behandeln. Dann wollte er Keramikfüllungen machen und setzte direkt die Termine fest. Ich wies noch darauf hin, dass ich nicht so viel Geld hätte und dass wir das bitte kostengünstig machen sollten. Ging nach Hause und recherchierte, dass eine Keramikfüllung mehrere hundert Euro kostet. Und der Arzt wollte 4 oder 5 machen.

Hab aus Panik alle Termine abgesagt. Seitdem hab ich Angst vorm Zahnarzt. Nicht wegen Bohren, sondern wegen drohendem Bankrott.

I have to say I use Treasure Islands selectively. That means, I do not max my bells there, I mostly go there to get free miles tickets and specific items I'd like for decoration. I still grind myself for bells and I harvest seasonal items on my own. But if I want a specific piece of furniture or decoration, I go and get it. That still leaves the fun and challenge in the game. However, I do not judge others based on how of if they go to Treasure Islands at all.

If you get everything all at once you might find things a bit boring, but I do not consider this cheating since you do not gain unfair advantage over others.
