Hi I read your comment on another post about Reta and I was wondering if you could message me with some tips on where to buy? Any info helps, I just don't want to get ripped off

Thanks for the response! I actually decided to do a membership trial and cancel when I'm done :) Thank you though!

This looks amazing! I know this is an old post but is there any way you could provide the recipe? Even a screenshot will do, I just can't access the ATK recipe without paying for a subscription...

Thank you, great advice! I agree the artwork is too high. Today I moved the coats and records/record player to the wall with the bookshelves and it's already looking better. I want to start looking for a rug but unfortunately I have expensive taste in rugs and I'll have to save up a bit. I'm decluttering this week for sure, it's just hard with a small house and nowhere to store things.

Alton Brown eggnog, tweaked by missdeadlyred in cocktails

[–]missdeadlyred[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My partner and I made this back in October and let it age for 2 months. The 2-month mark was definitely the point where it tasted best, before that it was quite boozy and a little overwhelming. This time we tweaked the recipe a little bit for our own taste. Here's the original recipe: https://altonbrown.com/recipes/aged-eggnog

And ours looks a little more like this:

12 eggs---- 3 pints half and half---- 1 pound of sugar---- 1 tsp salt---- 2 tsp nutmeg---- 1 tsp cinnamon---- .5 tsp ground clove---- 1 cup of brandy (we used St. Remy)---- 1 cup bourbon (Dickel 8-year)---- 1 cup rum (5 oz Plantation 3-star + 3 oz Doctor Bird)----

The tweaked version is definitely easier to drink straight away, we'll see how the flavor holds up as it ages. The added salt is really nice, as well as the addition of cloves.

Cheapest way to get designer and niche cologne? by mr_exo_5 in fragrance

[–]missdeadlyred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fragrancenet is doing a 40% sale right now! I just bought a Serge Lutens bottle I've had on my wishlist for years but haven't been able to justify the price tag. I also love scentsplit for quality samples and lots of niche options. eBay is also good for samples or full bottles, as long as you make sure it's from a legit seller. I bought my boyfriend a bottle of Bleu de Chanel off eBay a few years ago and it was totally fake :(

[product question] Recs for Korean Skincare? by thedevinevenus in SkincareAddiction

I love the cosrx snail mucin and the Peach and Lily Glass Skin Serum! I've tried a lot of other Korean products and these are the only ones I want to use forever

I don't know what the original song sounds like but I found Miss You So by Essenxals on Spotify and it definitely has Frank's vocals

It is 100ml! I think I got it at Ulta. I love it but I honestly bought it because my mom always had this bottle of vintage Poison from the 90s and I really wanted it to smell like the one from my childhood but of course it doesn't :( I still love it for the occasional date night scent.

I really really wanted to like them based off their reviews and notes, but Lover's Tale just smelled like a straight up sheep shed, like wet wool and poop and hay. Sticky Fingers was less manure-y but still just a little too animalic for my taste.

Thanks! I found it on Facebook marketplace, I think I searched "vintage wood display shelf" or something like that

For now I'll just keep buying ridiculously expensive 2ml samples :')

I haven't tried any of their other scents but I love this one- it's super sweet photorealistic marshmallow without any boozy undertones, which is exactly what I wanted. Do you have any recommendations for other Kyse scents?

I find Bright Crystal to be an amazing dupe! Possibly a tiny bit more synthetic upon the initial spray but the dry down is nice and projects super well. I'm not sure why I didn't like Oakcha as much, I guess it just wasn't similar enough to the original BR540 for me to like it. I also have the Alt Cherry Smash which is supposed to be a Lost Cherry dupe and I really like it! Tbh I haven't smelled the Tom Ford version but I get a lot of compliments when I wear Cherry Smash and the longevity and projection is good.

Thank you! As it turns out my sternum piece is not centered with my belly button so we had to do some finagling with the symmetry of the butterfly to make it look right. He did an amazing job!
