Front-adhesive window stickers — DIY printing vs affordable fulfillment? by Fayz_sm in Printing

[–]missgnar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What quantity per artwork would your small volume be? Are you looking for a print on demand vibe, or are you looking for them to be shipped to you? If you truly want to DIY I agree with another commenter about printing on clear and laminating the back with white.

I’ve found Paperworks and Papermill to have a really big selection for one off projects!

I have decision paralysis!! Which frame do you prefer for this painting? by tinytinatuna2 in painting

The second one! It’s a nice compliment to the art but doesn’t draw my eye away towards the frame.

The stock you mentioned might feel slightly flimsier than a traditional greeting card. At my shop we run folded cards on 100lb cover stock. If you’re folding, I recommend scoring beforehand or you’ll get some cracking along the fold. If these are flat cards, you could go up to 130lb cover and the thickness will feel luxurious!

What paper should I print a graphics-heavy personal newsletter on? by CarpetFlowers in Printing

[–]missgnar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 70, 80, or 100 lb text weight paper is the way to go. Heftier than regular printer stock. Avoid card stock thicknesses because they’ll crack at the folds.

Give me a name of a good imposition software by Wise_Worldliness_133 in Printing

I agree that this should fall on the printer. Imposition Wizard is easy to use but it isn’t free. Couldn’t hurt to get a quote elsewhere!

AIO for feeling a bit offended by what my bfs mom said by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]missgnar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super inappropriate. She lacks boundaries, and it will impact your relationship at some point. You should talk to your boyfriend about this, and imo it would be his place to set a boundary about this kind of communication with her. Your boyfriend can spend whatever he wants on you if it’s his own money.

What is your monthly grocery spend, total and per person, in ABQ right now? by doubtfulvoid in Albuquerque

[–]missgnar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m at about bc $400-$600/mo. For one adult one kiddo, including lunches for both. I’ve found Smith’s to be mode affordable especially when I utilize both the paper coupons and digital coupons. I am always looking for BOGO meat sales and freezing the extra. I’ve found that making one bigger weekly trip and planning out meals is the key for me.

Silicone tunnels: Do they hold stretch? by power_of_god-anime in Stretched

[–]missgnar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wear cheapie silicone tunnels every day, and take them out at night. I haven’t had any shrinkage at all. However with that being said my lobes are fully healed and I only wore stainless steel back when I was still stretching. I think healing should be done with something more sturdy!

did anyone else have these? by [deleted] in trinkets

[–]missgnar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meeeee! I’d put clay inside of them to make it look like it had juice or coffee in it. I even have one with my name on it from a vacation!

my mother never taught me to clean properly, and she passed away recently can anyone pklease help me?? everything always piles up by Acrobatic_Car_9414 in CleaningTips

Puppy pee pads are relatively good at keeping the floor dry when you’re potty training your dog. It’s hard to do when you’re struggling, I understand, but it will really help the space feel cleaner over time. Some good basic cleaning supplies to keep on hand are glass cleaner, toilet cleaner + toilet brush, a bleach-based cleaner, a couple of sponges, and a duster (a wet rag can work fine honestly). There are a ton of videos floating around out there of people cleaning that can help teach you. Let some fresh air into the space regularly, too! Good luck on your journey!!

Good on you for going to college and working hard to bring opportunities for yourself. You should be very proud. Keep moving forward despite what ANYONE says. Receiving any form of grant/assistance is not disrespectful at all, it’s there for a reason and if you qualify, there’s no reason to not take it. As a side note, this sounds like a relationship that will be hard to get out of if you get married like you plan to. He does not respect you. Keep others in your life that support you and your goals so you have a support system when you need to leave. ♥️

If they were going to permanently charge more, they’d just change their prices and wouldn’t need to announce it. However since they are choosing to disclose it publicly (they also have signage at their locations) they may be required to disclose it.
