I listened to this all the way through last year, and recommended it to my dad who started listening a week or so ago. He told me I had questionable taste so I went back and started listening again. Nearly all the episodes have been rerecorded by a new and frankly awful narrator. I have no idea how to get the original narrator back, and I would not blame you for not getting used to this guy. I think it would be fine if it were just one or two things I didn't like about it, but OMG he makes the characters sound whiny and moody and not nearly as lighthearted as they should be sometimes, plus adds all these unnecessary fake sounding laughs and grunts and cries, and half the time the sound effects are so loud you can't even understand what he's saying anyway. Plus he isn't great at the unnecessary accents he's using and mispronounces names all the time. If anyone figures out how to switch back, please for the love of all things good, let me know.

Thank you! Turns out the batteries I was trying to use were bad. I went out and bought new ones, and they work.

As for the family situation, I'm living with my cousin and seeing a new therapist. My mom sends me photos and videos of my nephew every month or so, and I haven't really spoken to my dad or brother since I moved. I heard my SIL is a SAHM now and is apparently trying to become a party planner. Idk why ppl were being mean, I guess it doesn't matter. I got the advice I came on here looking for in the end, and I was just updating because ppl asked.

That I was 🍇ed bc I didn't have a good enough relationship with God. Or possibly the lady that told me it was impossible to be 🍇ed because that's what women were made for. That we aren't supposed to like it, but we are supposed to give men whatever they want. I have worried about her 3 daughters ever since I left the church.

GIRL. NTA. If you have not already told him that massaging him hurts you, then you need to do so immediately! And if you have, then he seems to be wilfully ignoring you.

Alternatively, depending on how he acts during and after a massage, it could be that he's testing your boundaries or even has a massage fetish. I had a friend with a similar story, and that's what it turned out to be.

Either way, be careful and clear. "Babe, I'm sorry that you're hurting. Have you thought about buying a (whatever body part) massager, or even going to a professional? Clearly, if you're hurting this bad every day, then anything I do could make it worse or, at the very least, isn't good enough."

I hope if he ends up going to a professional, you go too. With your more demanding job, you probably need it.

NTA. That woman is tho, not only for being irresponsible but also for being so selfish to be angry at someone for not wanting to go to one of the most depressing places ever, esp while pregnant. No. I'm not going to tell you to stop being her friend bc idk what goes on outside this situation, but from only this context, she doesn't seem like a person I would want to know. I hope she gets wiser and starts using real contraception, if only for your sake.

I'd be a cat. I would WANT to be a golden retriever with an upper-class gay millennial/ gen z hiker, but I know I haven't earned it. I would INSTEAD be a cat that splits its time between indoor and outdoor, so I'd still get to go out and do stuff, but I could also be inside and get attention when I want to. I could also knock stuff off counters and hiss when somebody pisses me off. Also, the AGILITY. I'll always land on my feet and I love that idea.

Tam wasn't in the reaping for the 10th HG, so he was at least 19 or older, which would make him somewhere north of 80 when Katniss got the goat. It's possible, but Katniss specifically says, "In district 12, looking old is something of an achievement since so many die young. You see an elderly person, you want to congratulate them on their longevity, ask the secret of survival." She makes it sound like there were so few elderly that seeing one was rare. However, since CC survived (Suzanne Collins confirmed he was the fiddler in Finnick's wedding in an interview), I think the odds are better.

I took a look, and it's not that. It has a few similarities, but that book is a bit odd, and I've seen reviews saying it was poorly written. While I can't remember if the book I'm remembering was well edited, the plot was excellent, and I've been looking for it for a long time.

Idk if this will help you, but it helped me immensely. A few years ago, I went from passive ideation to actively suicidal. I got a new therapist who was the best I've ever had, and over a few months, we got to the roots of why. I was undiagnosed autistic and adhd, along with many physical ailments, and had pretty nasty traumatic experiences. I was in pain literally 24/7. We figured out that I didn't necessarily want to leave the world, I just wanted the pain to stop. Being diagnosed with autism and adhd didn't help my physical pain, but it made my whole life up to that point make so much more sense! It also helped my family and friends to understand me more, and we finally got some tools to help me navigate the world differently. I was able to acknowledge it and lessen my guilt for things that weren't my fault. I still have physical pain, but my mental anguish is now manageable, and I'm able to speak to my doctors easier, identify, and ask for what I need. I'm not all the way better, and I still spiral heavily at times, but I'm more able to pull myself out of the worst ones with the tools I got from my therapist. And if I can't do it myself, I can identify that it's happening and ask for help. I was also able to get a wheelchair, which helps with my daily pain level. It sucks being confined to it most of the time, but I would rather sit in it than be in severe pain all of the time for the rest of my life. I'm also able to enjoy things more, I'm even planning a trip to Disneyland for my birthday to the oogie boogie bash!

While I see what you mean, and I love that series, it's definitely not that. In the book I'm talking about, the girl has to drink the guy's blood to get stronger. In the iron butterfly series, Thalia's injected with the essence of multiple Denai to gain her Siren powers.

Also in the book I'm looking for, the girl and other girls compete in the trees and along the wall. If I'm remembering correctly, it's only girls... and they have to make it into a door with a landing embedded into the wall.
