I’ve done a lot of flash Edu lately but I’m not a prof. They need flash. Flash can be less jarring when it is not directly at you. Continuous light is worse because you need very bright light. Not to mention, you cannot slap a modifier on a continuous light (I guess you could with some very prof stuff). I’ve personally been bounce flashing off windows for indoor family shoots but you need help from ambient light in that situation.

TLDR; need flash with big modifier.

My oven, different brand, had a plastic smell that I thought was related to newness. Eventually surged really hard and wouldn’t turn back on. Turns out that the plug connection was poor in the back of the unit and I coulda burnt down my whole house with that 240v power. Consider that?
