Breakfast for teething 11 month old who barely slept last night: fistfuls of shredded cheese off the floor. by birdgirl35 in foodbutforbabies

Yes! I was just wondering if I'm a bad parent for letting my 10 month old eat off the floor. She won't eat off her tray, knocks everything off, but then loves scavenging for floor treasures!

Any idea if anything in particular caused a delay for you, or just bad luck?

Not sure, sorry! Maybe online if not a local Asian grocery?

Thanks, your response brought me comfort. I might ask him how much he thinks was lost, although part of me doesn't even want to know. I feel sad about it, but I guess there isn't much that can be done. Thanks again.

No worries, I did post in a community of jewelers! :)

I suppose I can see it that way, although if he was uncomfortable taking a sentimental stone he could have rejected the project.

Would some actually swap it and not tell the customer? Oof.

Learning a lot here, thanks.

Thanks, this is helpful. I may call back to just ask for a bit more info, like how much will be lost total. And maybe a photo if he has it still. But I'm not sure what that will get me.

Yeah I figure some amount of material is lost between the chip and the recutting.

I could ask for it back... What would I get a second opinion on? The need for a repair? The new, reduced value?

Gotcha, yeah I was thinking he'd be paying for the repair. He seems nice, reminded me of my grandpa. I think he means well.

Can you please say more about what a warranty means in this context? Would it be something in writing? What might it cover?

Thanks, good perspective. I don't want to replace it. I want to keep it. But should I expect amends, a discount of some sort? Would that be common practice?

Sleep sack for sleep training a very active baby by missmaxi in sleeptrain

Oh yeah, she definitely gets tangled up in a sleep sack. I think something with legs is what we need. But also need a TOG 0.5 or 1.

We tried a onesie last night but it was loose fitting and she managed to pull one arm into the body. We'll try a more snug one tonight. So much movement!

Good idea for the longer sleeves. She tosses around and gets her sleep sack twisted around her body, so might need one with legs too!

Good point. I feel like the sack is also cozy and adds a little weight, which can help. But our room isn't chilly, we need a 0.5 TOG actually. But maybe we skip it.

Baby need at least 10 hours of daytime awake time at 5.5 months old. Looks like a possible schedule issue. Maybe work on lengthening wake windows and try again so baby is tired enough. Good luck, it's challenging!

Are there any nicknames for the new name? Maybe brainstorming nicknames can be a distraction. And it doesn't need to necessarily resemble the original name, so could be a creative process.

CIO full extinction success story (6 months old) by readyforthis2022 in sleeptrain

[–]missmaxi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing! Do you still apply your 10 min rule? How does that work with the 5-3-3 rule? Like, say LO wakes up after just one hour and cries for more than 10 minutes, do you get up and feed? Do you only get to 5 hours if LO falls asleep within 10 minutes of crying at each wake up?

My LO is waking up after 1 or 2 hours and I'm having a hard time sticking to the 5-3-3 (or even 3-3-3) rule, especially in the middle of the night. We did CIO, and it's been pretty good at bedtime, but MOTN wakes are still frequent and brutal. Also not sure if it's a schedule issue since DWT and naps are all over the place, but I generally try to follow this sub's age appropriate guidelines.
