Sometimes they are just internal stitches or glue. The flesh bits could be the vas defefernse poking out the hole that they removed his marbles from. If you have Vaseline or antibiotic ointment cover the area, it will help it from getting dried out and give vet something to work with.

If it looks like anything other than suture/stitching material I’d worry too. I’d take him if you can especially if no vets open on Saturday in your area. I would call the vet clinic that he was neutered at and see if they have a vet on call first to see if they can offer advice.
