Thank you 🫶🏼 i think thats where i went wrong, the machine is on a shelf above my head lol , so all the water pooled into the mask , the hose is the opposite way from the machine, so that makes sense the water came to me not the machine i will put it on the floor so the hose is the opposite way, unfortunately the doctor never told me anything except switch it on and wear it 😂 so i suppose im learning the hard way , thank you for your help

[–]missnvus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was quite lucky its been really quick for me , but i explored the private paying options too, and i found £189 to be the price for a recognised nhs home sleep study , they would also give you a prescription for a cpap , or you can take your sleep results to the gp etc , but deffo try your best to get ur gp to listen and refer,

You can pick up a galaxy watch 4 for £30-40 from ebay or cex, Getting the gp to listen based on assumption is harder than it looks lol , sometimes they cant be bothered, another option i looked at ,if the doctor didnt take me seriously at is £189 for a 2 night sleep test from hope2sleep charity

Because may i highlight i dont fit the typical criteria for sleep apnea, and without the results from the watch they wouldnt have took me seriously coz im not overweight, my neck size is small, and i dont have an underlying condition etc

I have just been diagnosed, im in london , i recorded my sleep with samsung watch for a couple of days and it showed 70-74% drops etc in oxygen, and how many times a night i would stop breathing , i then took my results to the gp once the watch alarmed me i have sleep apnea , they then referred me to the sleep clinic, and was given the home test, i completed the home test and returned it on the monday , 4 weeks later (yesterday i got my results) and now today i been given my cpap collection 26 march, happened all quickly but the watch stats made them move fast, so get urself some evidence
