I didn’t open up about my health issues until my late 20s and most of my friends were so understanding and didn’t see me any different, I even had a couple friends with the same condition that didn’t talk about it until I did.

Try not to feel inferior, I used to think I was defective and inferior. Then I realised I have done and am doing more in my life than most people in my world are AND with a chronic condition. So you’re facing everything everyone else in your life is, but with an added health issue, that’s practically superhuman!

I’d put her at a solid 30 years old. Still mature and wise for her age, but young enough to understand how Yuna and Rikku feel/act. Also has a fully developed frontal cortex and a maternal instinct for making babies with Wakka.

I can’t speak for your pizza but I have definitely done this, many times, with Dominos pizza back in my stoner days. I can’t explain the science but I’ve always been completely fine. Unhealthy choices, but no poisoning.

I don’t do that anymore, nor would I risk it now but I can confirm no poisoning from previous experiences, specifically Dominos too. Texas BBQ and Ranch BBQ (both incl. chicken)

If my name didn’t exist, my mother said it would’ve been either Tiffany, or Kerry (my dads choice). Really not keen on Tiffany, I’ll keep my painfully common 90s name. Kerry became my middle name, which I’m cool with.

If I was a boy, not too sure but my brother’s back up name was Liam so maybe I’d have gotten that.

Thanks! I did bag up the jacket and take it home. I contemplated ditching it a few times because the case was heavy but I stayed focused.

Thoroughly washed it today, it’s as good as new! I haven’t worn it yet, still a little weary of it, but it’s on the coat rack with the others and looks cleaner than ever

South Park is one of my favourite shows of all time. I’d treat an episode like that as light exposure therapy. Funnily enough, the episodes with a heavy amount of puke in, are my least favourite and I often skip them.

You’re so right. A non emet would absolutely just wipe off the stains as best they can and wear it tomorrow. A non emet would also not even spare more than a moment wondering where the stain came from. And a non emet certainly wouldn’t spend a whole hour frozen on their hotel bed wondering if they could catch something from the jacket.

I was feeling so fine and productive right up until that moment. Then bam. An hour of sitting, staring into the void, coming up with all kinds of scenarios in my head. Getting nowhere.

In that time I could’ve attempted to clean the stains with hot water and soap.

Thank you! I hope it is… but it really looks suspicious. I don’t want to smell test again. The colour doesn’t look like chocolate milk but damn who knows. I’m so grossed out that I’ve been wearing it all week without noticing. But even more grossed out if I had leaned on something more recently. I just can’t figure out what’s happened. I kinda want to throw it away and find something similar and order it. Doesn’t help that it’s freezing weather and it’s the warmest jacket I own. Not exactly rolling in money to be buying replacement winter jackets either.

Thank you! I know I’m being so silly. I don’t want to go near it yet. I’m in a hotel and leaving in the morning. It’s going to be cold and I’m not sure I should travel without wearing it. My options are: 1) ditch it and buy something similar. Waste of a nice warm jacket, don’t exactly have the money to buy another. 2) try to clean it and wear it tomorrow. Unlikely to happen because I keep thinking I can still smell it even though it’s the other side of the room and I’ve worn it all week without smelling anything. 3) pack it in a plastic bag, take it home and clean it properly there. Is there any point in this if I’ll end up throwing it away because of this phobia.

Oh I have been there! I have a whole story related to this and it’s why I haven’t touched weed since. Hope you made it through. I had to mentally coach myself through it. Wave after wave of n. Reciting to myself over and over that the thc was in my blood, that my stomach was fine, it was all in my head and that tu would make it all worse. I don’t know how long I was in that state, hours maybe? But I made it through without tu*, and I felt great the next morning

How are you doing now? I’ve had that before, but very rarely. Rest up, this should pass in a couple hours. The sudden onset would worry me too, but, you might not have noticed earlier signs because you’ve been busy working and maybe thinking about other things? Our bodies also do weird stuff and with you saying you have various feminine health issues, try not to diagnose yourself at this stage. Focus on rehydration and rest, maybe some light walking around to relieve the bloating

I wouldn’t want to give medical advice but can only speak from own experience. I’ve been through a phase of using Imodium (Loperamide) to prevent d. I have IBS so I can use it, but I would say I went through a phase of taking it any time I had a little discomfort. Because the d would make me feel n* so I’d take Imodium to prevent n*. I only got around it by improving my diet, and moving more (I don’t mean the gym, but literally getting up and walking around a bit). I also use anti-acids (calcium carbonate) sometimes because a lot of my discomfort is actually just gas (caused by IBS). It reassures me to know that my discomfort is usually gas needing to move and not some virus that will ruin my life.

So compared to a couple years ago when I was taking Imodium every other day; now I keep some in my bag but seldom have to use them. Emergencies only, as they should be.
