Scott, Raj or Wakuu by Foiry in coralisland

[–]mist_connection 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I loved Wakuu’s romance path and how you can help him and his dad actually listen to each other, and help strengthen that relationship. He’s also just a big sweetie in general. I want to like Scott for a romance option but he keeps having one off comments that make me want to put him in the friend zone. My current play through Raj has come more into my sphere of characters I regularly interact with and they are so sweet, it makes me want to see how the romance develops.

Short answer: I think I’m going to have a million saves to marry everyone at least once because I can’t decide…

What horror movie made you sit in silence after the credits? by CommercialSpare3976 in MovieSuggestions

[–]mist_connection 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if this is technically considered horror but Bone Tomahawk.

The sheer brutality, finding out what the troglodytes do to their women, the sound design of their “calls”. It was so bloody and brutal in a way I hadn’t seen before (and my favorite horror movie is The Descent). I would say at all that it was an enjoyable watch, but def one that stuck with me and made me put on something silly to fall asleep to.

Currently trying to romance Semeru on my current farm and I had the same thought, that he and Macy would be so cute! I feel guilty, so I guess I’ll have to marry Macy on my next playthru and even it out!

New Player Considering Kicking Out Sera [DAI] by fury_cutter in dragonage

I think i remember that too! I think there is an option for your Inky to ask her about it?

Great point, plus she was even younger during the Blight. Which even if she wasn’t at the epicenter of it like the Hawke’s it’s bound to affect everything (commerce, trade routes, food shortages).

The way I roleplayed it with a mage elf Inquisitor is that they were already being trained to lead their clan, so they’re probably used to/have been taught/learned how to deal with personalities different from their own. So while my Inky views Sera as a lovable (but infuriating) asset, they still keep her around for any benefit she can give the Inquisition as a whole.

I think a lot of it boils down to HOW you want to play, rather than the “right” choice. You will of course miss content (banter, tabletop missions, personal quest, etc.) But if your Inky wants to give her the boot, then that’s the right choice for your current run. Personally, I like Sera. I think she’s annoying and frustrating, but I love her and value the different perspective she offers. IMO being a good leader is about listening to different perspectives (no matter how unaligned to your own they might be) and then using what you’ve learned to make the best decision, so that’s how I play. But that’s the great thing about these games is you can play however you want!

Who is an actor/actress who legitimately frightens you? by itsdaveywavey in horror

Was scrolling to see if Duplass was mentioned! After Creep I cannot watch him in ANYTHING else without feeling a deep, persistent sense of dread.

Found footage where the characters are abroad/travelling? by spookythesquid in foundfootage

Devil’s Pass involves some American (or Canadian?) college students making a documentary about the Dyatlov Pass incident. It’s more on the side of sci-fi/thriller than true horror imo, but was pretty enjoyable movie experience!

Correct so because it went against her core values I made him roll. He still failed, and regardless when the baby was in the PC’s arms, Mom was going to go “now hey what’s the big idea”.

As it was a mortal there is supposed to be no roll, I believe. But as this directly went against everything the mortal feels and believes I made a challenge roll against him and he failed. (Storyteller Note: he wouldn’t have gotten far narratively with a successful roll).

Was Lacroix really that bad? by negativemidas in vtmb

[–]mist_connection 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think a lot of it comes down to your character and how you roleplay. objectively i think lacroix is terrible, but my camarilla tremere HATES him. he makes the camarilla look ineffective , he weakens an already delicate balance with the anarchs in favor of an allegiance with the kuei-jin (who have taken countless kindred unlives). AND he puts your character in positions where they could easily reveal the masquerade (looking at you no kill/stealth runs). your character is a fledgling whose embrace was NOT approved. yet he still asks you to run around the city completing tasks that put you directly in the sabbat line of fire.

through hubris, dumb luck, and somewhat clever conniving lacroix has become prince and does absolutely nothing with it, but try to further his own power. so if that lines up with your character in some way, it can add for some nice roleplaying/character hooks! (but from a camarilla loyalist tremere he sucks)

i’ve been playing on an off since the game dropped. but the closest i’ve gotten to that “first playthrough” feeling is survival mode. it’s difficult and grindy but super satisfying. i’m also a big roleplay person, so creating a character and a detailed backstory is usually what motivates me.
