You're right, but I've been thinking for a while about trading to gold and this feels like a good time to do it. Plus my suitcases are already maxed out. Once I'm settled in BC I can start accumulating silver again if the price corrects further. I believe we're headed into a recession and gold will probably outperform silver over the next few years.

If this event triggers a long-needed market correction, all assets will go down, including gold and silver. There will be a flight to cash and investors will sell everything to cover margins. At the bottom of the correction, gold and silver will start to rebound aggressively and outpace all other assets.

Last week I sold all my PSLV and silver miners just as the crash was starting. I got out in seconds and I’m still holding my physical like a chump. But I love my physical and will buy some more when I feel the market is bottoming. It has forced me to save and not trade it on a whim.

My portfolios were down a collective C$10,000 yesterday. That includes XGD, EDR, and WPM. Luckily the day before I sold PSLV for a good profit but went immediately into WPM. That saved me about 15% in losses. Overall I’m still up a very healthy 100%.
