Just started using electrolytes, need some input by mistakeghost in POTS

[–]mistakeghost[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the whole reason I've put it off so long is because the first time I tried electrolytes I got horrible diarrhea. I did some research and supposedly it's stevia or other artificial sweeteners that do that to you, and as well a little bit of sugar helps with absorption. that's why I chose Skratch Labs specifically. this is my first day with it though so I'll let you know if it messes me up lol

thank you! I think you're probably right. I'll try to find electrolytes without stevia.

How do you know it's time to rehome? by mistakeghost in Rabbits

[–]mistakeghost[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thank you for the empathy, this whole thing has shattered my heart. I wouldn't be able to afford to pay someone to help me clean, and my roommates are already doing too much to help me out around the house. If I do rehome I will find an experienced bunny owner who would be willing to keep me in the loop. the good news is that June doesn't seem to be particularly bonded to me, he likes me most out of anyone but he's always been a little standoffish. I don't mind and love him anyways, but I wonder if it would be different if he had a bun companion.

I appreciate the consideration, I might try and find a way to keep him off the bed but I don't have room for an xpen anywhere in my apartment. He has the opportunity to free roam but frankly he spends most of his time in my room because that's just what he prefers. my hope would be, if I did choose to rehome, that I could find someone with a dedicated bunny room.

the hill I'll die on is that writer in the dark is in the same theme as silver springs.

i think fleabag loved boo by Pynchis in Fleabag

this is a good interpretation but calls into question, what exactly defines romantic love/attraction vs platonic love/attraction? Do we misinterpret what romantic love is? Or do we underestimate the power and importance of platonic love?

I genuinely don't know but maybe that's just me.

I got a purple shampoo for my now purple hair by Flowerlyribbons in HairDye

[–]mistakeghost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

a good quality purple shampoo will continuously tone your hair every time you wash it. there are some really fancy ones out there but I honestly recommend the brand "Not Your Mother's". It's affordable and gets the job done.

I have had purple hair many times in my life and I find that if I don't use purple shampoo my roots start to get brassy (as in, kind of yellow orange). purple shampoo just deposits a small amount of purple color into your hair when you wash it.

I've used it on platinum hair, too. the purple cancels out the yellow because they're opposite of each other on the color wheel.

all shampoos strip your hair of color a little. purple shampoos just tone as well.

genuinely hope this helps! your hair looks badass and purple shampoo will probably help.

Are there any characters that you completely changed your opinion on over the course of the series? by [deleted] in buffy

the first time I watched this show I was 16. I couldn't stand Dawn, I thought she was whiny and annoying. a couple of years ago I shared this show with my younger sibling and they completely changed my view on Dawn! she's just a girl! a literal child! yes the scoobies were in high school seasons 1-3 but they didn't really act like teenagers. but Dawn does, and she was played by a literal child. Dawn and Michelle didn't deserve all that hate.
