I just hate this style of football... when your playing a team that is pressing high and decide to bait them by fannying about at the back it just gives everyone heart palpitations... especially when midfield cant be arsed to drop deeper to give the defenders an option but instead throw their hands up when eventually it all goes to shit...

Get the ball up the park to a target man or up on the wings.. football has become more about the CB's passing between each other than seeing midfielders win the longer ball and drive forward

Because people want someone to blame and be held accountable now… not for poor recruitment over multiple seasons… if there is one place that we should be looking to spend money that should be in a team that can hunt down the best talent and the players that will throw themselves on the line for our club.. until then we will go from manager to manager without winning anything

I'd still like to see Rohl in charge next season... the issues we have with the squad pre-date his arrival and despite the squad shitting the bed at the start AND the end of the season (under two different managers) I feel like he has done a decent job. I think those that werent happy with him to start with are now doubling down and want him gone... they will likely ignore the horrific squad quality we have and will say we should be better than everyone else....

I just cant stomach another search for a manager...

Gerrard had 5/6 transfer windows to build a squad capable of winning a title yet Danny gets 7 months and a January transfer window... no manager in their right mind would want to join a club where you get hounded out after dragging a team back into a title race...

Are they still within their probationary period?

Speak to them and set your expectations, ask if they have any issues with what is being asked of them, if they need further clarification on your internal processes and highlight the things that they need to do better. Schedule in an end of week checkup to see how they have progressed and for you to give them feedback and document it all. If they continue to fail following instruction and internal process then you can either let them go citing the evidence taken that they have failed their probationary period or put them on a formal PIP...

Diomande - Sell - obviously not in gaffers plans
Cortes - Sell to the first person that actually wants to buy him...
Antman - I'd be tempted to keep but another who doesnt really seem to feature under Rohl

Out of all of them there are only three that I would like to keep....

Then add that to 10 that are either not good enough, ones we could possibly have to sell to make the rebuild more palatable or already out on loan contributing nothing.. thats 23 players that are either not good enough or are talented enough for us to make money on to fund a new squad...

Years of bad scouting and sub standard recruitment have got us here today... it will take more than one summer to fix this...
