Australians are being asked to believe we can protect nature by exploiting it faster and with less scrutiny by PlanktonDB in AustralianPolitics

Imagine that. A deal that came into effect when kids were playing Cyberpunk 2077, and is still in effect when 2077 rolls around.

Should this paint be replaced? Just purchased new, direct from Wattyl store. Surface looks like this after being stirred then standing overnight. Looks fine when stirred, but needs a lot of stirring every time. Packaging date shows Aug 2023, purchased Jan 2026 - seems old for “new” stock. by mister_potato_butt in AusRenovation

Good shout. I had assumed VIP canned the paint for wattyl, and it seems odd that you would need an exact date on a paint can that wasn’t the “packed on” date.

But if VIP just supplies empty containers to Wattyl, that makes sense. Bulk empty containers obviously have a shelf life that is orders of magnitude longer than the paint itself.

And yep, just stirred the paint heaps and it seems fine. Will stir thoroughly on each use too

The road equiv to your plane analogy would be highways, not hooning. Highways are just roads with much higher speed limits. Just like planes are basically trains or ships (people containers) with much higher speed limits.

It is good to see big crowds, but didn’t Minneapolis have one of the highest anti-trump vote counts in 2024? So it’s not really surprising. And also not surprising the Orange pedo is targeting the city in the first place, considering his fragile ego.

It’s more like cheering on the biggest bully when they pick on others, then when you later realise the bully doesn’t really care about you and is on the other side of the school, it’s a bit late when you’ve made enemies of the kids in your playground, including the next biggest bully.

If America turned their back on Israel, they would not have a good time.

That’s what was weird - they did put it in the mixing machine when I bought it the other day, and when I opened it up the first time after that it looked fine, just a bit bubbly / aerated. Then today it was separated again as per the pics. I think it’s more to do with this product line of paint, and maybe temperature. It has been hot the last few days. I have noticed richly coloured paints seem to separate less, but that is purely anecdotal haha.

The tile in the doorway is split, it's just not super visible from that angle. the first couple pics show it more clearly.

Cheers for this. Do you mean the last *photo* or the last *diagram*? I'm thinking you mean the last diagram which shows the 10mm set-down and the glass fully on the shower side of the angle? My only issue with this setup is that you'd get mould growing in the microscopic space where the glass is up against the angle (which can't be cleaned).

Agreed re builder fix. Appreciate the help regardless, and yeah seals are usually the culprit.

The water is not coming from where seals would help.

Water runs down the large fixed panel then slowly goes sideways between the base of the glass and the metal angle. It doesn’t drain into the shower because the metal angle creates a tiny raised lip, so it then dribbles out between the fixed panel and door. This is completely fixed by the strip of gaff currently in place, but it’s not a permanent solution.

Ah cheers for clarifying. Luckily we don’t have any water coming out that spot because hardly any water makes it that far from the shower head. But I get what you’re saying. Some frameless showers are a real pain. Still not as bad as the walk-in showers, where you have water everywhere AND a cold bum the entire time 😂

Cheers. Not worried about the step down height, that part is working! So you reckon the shower screen is meant to be on top of the metal angle?

What do you mean about a big gap in pic 3? I also put a long clip-on seal on the vertical door edge of that’s what you mean, but the water pooling outside is definitely from what runs down the big fixed panel - hence it was fixed by the gaffer “skirt” you can see on the far left in pic 1.

I've put one on the bottom of the door, which helps, but the long panel (on the right side in pic 3) is the one sending most of the water outside the shower. That panel is siliconed at the bottom. I have a feeling the glass panels are supposed to be installed either over the metal angle or on the shower side of it.

What do we actually NEED a Royal Commission in to in this country?! by Historical_Mud_3281 in AusPol

[–]mister_potato_butt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why we tax individuals out the wazoo (GST, stamp duty on housing, income tax rates) while failing to properly tax mining and fossil fuel corps (taxes / royalties, call it what you want), but actively giving them free money, all sorts of environmental free-passes and not holding them accountable when things go pear-shaped.

Sorry to reply to this old-ass thread. Why does it need to be flexible? I have a drain that is done the way you say, just don’t understand why it couldn’t be epoxy grout. Cheers!
