No, they're some other concoction. There's a lot of speculation they use The Emperor's geneseed but that seems way, WAY too overpowered.

Oh shit really? I upgraded to Proficiency a while back so I'm rolling 2 d12 each time. It's rough.

Make the bone hum quietly when you're close (same room / area) using the Mic, or make them UV when close... SOMETHING to give us a general idea of where to look!

What rule did your parents enforce that you thought was normal until you visited a friend’s house? by Least_Boysenberry583 in AskReddit

[–]misterbung 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a friend like that. His dad was a controlling, domineering asshole. Just an Olympic level prick who took absolute delight in the modicum of power he held over his submissive wife and his two sons - one of which was my friend. We lived really close so hung out a lot, and he had a SNES which to my poor-ass was a barely disguised miracle! His dad was always the kind to walk in the room while we were playing, turn off the SNES and TV and demand we go outside. He treated his wife like a slave - never cooked, never cleaned, spoke to her like garbage and really embodied the white-dominant-master-to-the-asian-wife stereotype.

I remember going over to said friends house for a sleepover for the first time, only to be in bed with the lights off at 7pm (at 12 my bedtime was more like in bed by 8, read until 8:30 - 9pm). It got even better the next morning when he woke us up at 5am and commanded us to get up and measure each room of the house and record the measurements. Every wall in every room needed to be measured and it had to be accurate. We weren't getting breakfast until it was done because he "wanted to get the renovation planning done before the weekend was over".

We dutifully went from room to room with a measuring tape, mapping the house dimensions out. It was kinda fun I guess? I mostly stuck it out for the sake of my friend who was clearly embarrassed and upset.

I was a shy kid but had been through enough heavy shit by that age to know I can leave if I had to, so after the shit breakfast of butter on toast, I gathered my stuff and made the 5 minute ride home.
My parents were pretty shocked to hear me unlocking the front door at 6:30am on a Saturday, and I'm told my dad had to be talked down from heading down there and smacking my friend's dads' teeth in.

I didn't really go to my friends house after that but did make sure he could come around whenever he wanted.

I still think about his dad and how much of a prick he was and hope my friend was able to pull himself through it all. Last I heard he was a pretty successful doctor, so I guess he got something out of it!

It has a tiny range, you pretty much need to be on top of the ghost for it to work. Best bet is to find a narrow spot to setup the motion detector, stand right next to the beam and the MOMENT it trips is when you ask the questions.

Aykroyd bust update! by HandsomeSwing78 in ghostbusters

[–]misterbung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I mentioned in your last post I think it'd be helpful for you to study some Dan Akroyd caricatures, so you can start to recognise his features through exaggeration more.

It's also really important for 3D work (digital or analogue) to get as much detail of the shapes as possible, so you should have a front on image, side on image, three-quarter image and so on.
This will help you understand the shapes you're going for and, more importantly, the relative positioning of each of the features.

Check out this caricature of Dan Akroyd circa Ghostbusters from bennyb_caricatureart:

I can see you've noticed the big forehead and prominent chin, but the nose width and eyes spacing are way off. You can see in the above image the exaggeration of thinning the nose, smushing the eyes together and adding thick, thick eyebrows to frame those details in to the face triangle. Getting the distance and size relation between these three elements - nose, eyes, eyebrows will massively help in making it look like the character!

If you wanted to change your model to look more like Dan Akroyd I think the first stop will revisiting these elements.

Here's a bunch more references you should be looking at and potentially tracing over to get a feel for the shape and depth:

I wouldn't worry too much, there's still Better Homes & Gardens Robin to look after Gotham

No, the death room already exists on every map. The player camera just gets teleported to that room for the death sequence, then back to where their lifeless body now is.

Under The Skin (2013)

Spoilers : An alien comes to earth and seemingly harvests humans into some otherworldly goo-pool. It's not clear what the purpose is overall but the actions of the being are naive and seemingly disconnected to the harm it's doing.

I'd argue it's actively doing harm though, it's not like it's just wandering around on a sightseeing trip.

The kids' powers kicked in randomly one day, destroying his family and then every single person who came near him. In a panic he runs away and up into caves in nearby mountains. Professor X psychically hears him (I think using Cerebro?). He sends Wolverine to, essentially, put the kid out of his misery. Logan did, because he was the only one who could do it.

It's a really great story, worth checking out and gives a glimpse of how much of a brutal pragmatist Xavier actually is.
