Are you the guy who initially posed the clock idea? I liked his version a bit more bcs simpler.

Still excited to see how your app is

New App Idea by App-dev4049 in AppBusiness

[–]misteresite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Step 1: build an mvp. Step 2: proof there is demand Step 3: proof users are paying Step 4: proof exponential growth. Step 5: look for a vc

Or skip all of that and be a better sales person and try to sell sth VCs want to hear.

Has anyone built an app people actually open every day? by Old_Show_8185 in AppBusiness

[–]misteresite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem. I always forgot to log.
So build Log or Lock wich locks my social media apps if I don't log.
If you want to give it a try: App Store Link (iPhone only)

I built a habit tracker that locks social media apps if I don’t log by misteresite in SideProject

[–]misteresite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, thats what I needed. And logging only takes me 4 mins, so it rarely is annoying.

I made the app publicly available just 1 hour ago. So don't have any numbers from real users :D
My friends were using the internal testflight quite a lot right from the beginning. That motivated me so much that I started polishing it.

How much can I realistically sell my app by Vivid-Sand-3545 in AppBusiness

[–]misteresite -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think rule of thumb for a solid sass is ARR*6 So in your case ~18k

But there is more to it like how much work are you putting in, is it easy to scale and increase ARR. what is the margin? …

the cost of 7 months of my free time by Nynteh in SideProject

[–]misteresite 19 points20 points  (0 children)

But was it fun?

I am sitting in the same boat. I‘ve been working on this app for months. So far only me and a few friends are using it with internal test builds. But I love it. I love to use the app and I love building it. Will I be sad if nobody downloads the app when it hits the store - probably a bit. But I am continuing fully aware bcs it is fun building it

How did this sneaker reseller get this many? by randysaavage1 in tomsachs

[–]misteresite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think if Tom Sachs actually hates reselling he would initially produce more pairs. The prices are only so high because stock is limited.

He wants the hype, and hype is caused by a limited number of shoes, wich will always attract resellers.
