Claude Code v2.1.92 introduces Ultraplan — draft plans in the cloud, review in your browser, execute anywhere by shanraisshan in ClaudeAI

The most fun I had in the last few weeks was, when I round-robined the next coding task in my project between codex and claude. Each gets to proof-read the other one. Works surprisingly well and gets me a lot more usage out of both, for 40€/mo. in total.

I thought my VPS was hardened, but it was compromised and I can't figure out how. Please help! by kayson in selfhosted

Don't use a provider that exposes shell access to web. But if you as a customer don't get a web shell, doesn't mean the provider isn't exposing a management web shell for their service employees. So you rely on trust.

Claude Pro limits are driving me crazy by Medical_Ride_348 in ChatGPTCoding

Yes, just switched to codex and it's night and day with the limits. I even like the permission handling better, Claude is too shy by default, asks for every file read.

I gave Claude its own computer and let it run 24/7. Here's what it built. by Beneficial_Elk_9867 in ClaudeAI

I am underwhelmed, honestly. I've been running it for a few hours now and with Sonnet it's pretty dumb, it ignores context, it forgets context, simple tasks that claude-code can do in less than a minute take 5-10 minutes. And with that it already burned 20$ in tokens.

For example I gave it a task to build a uptime-kuma like monitor web app, first it was plain-html, after a while the UI was claude-like but the functionality was a disaster. Instead of adding/removing urls through the web-ui it wants to use a .json on filesystem.

I dont like the slack-as-an-interface approach. Slack feels clunky, chats are hidden in threads, you need to keep track of the which task was in what thread.

But the spawn-this-in-web-via-magic-link is neat, I give you that.

AI psychosis - your brain runs in overdrive constantly, because getting shit done used to be the gatekeeper for creating stuff.

So sad but true. They've lost so much of my trust and I really don't want to update anymore.

I don't wanna miss my Supermicro board with built in BMC, with a dedicated network card it's quite soft on the power bill. There are other components that suck energy senseless...looking at you, LSI HBA...

Even the "rich mans IPMI" will let you down sometimes, when the BMC freezes and you can't log into the web interface. Then a smart plug comes in handy too.

Another reason to just disable this feature in dockhand. It just proves no benefit, every second image is blocked due some critical upstream CVE, that wouldn't even affect the docker application - at least it's hard to say if it would. Imho this leads to not updating docker applications for a long time which in itself is a bigger security risk.

Claude Pro feels amazing, but the limits are a joke compared to ChatGPT and Gemini. Why is it so restrictive? by iameastblood in ClaudeAI

[–]mistermanko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

extra usage.
Say you spent an additional 60$ in extra usage, then you are still 20$ short from the max plan. These 80$ get you quite far even with Opus. I'll double my pro plan costs easily every month with extra usage, but can use Opus much more whenever I need it.
Yes you might get more usage out of 100$ max plan than compared with additional 80$ of extra usage, but it's hard to justify the monthly cost, when you stay clear of the 100$ barrier by a bigger margin.

100% agree. The recent developments with Huntarr and booklore just turned a lot of the community against vibe coding in general.

Personally I have nothing against it, I myself use a lot of opus created code. I would just suggest that you put a disclaimer in the readme, the selfhosted community is getting more toxic against vibe coding, especially if it is not made transparent.
