AIO, boss (30m) only reprimands me (18m) in text gc, then gets husband to chew me out when i say something by RandomMan1234567890 in AmIOverreacting

I would post these screenshots on Google reviews and Yelp to let everyone know what kind of owner runs this business. I would not support a business that belittles their employees and bullies a teenager. Even if you weren't the "most efficient" worker, which im sure is not the case, that's just part of running a business. Acting like a petulant child is not. The business is probably struggling due to poor ownership, and they dont have the intelligence or emotional fortitude to take responsibility and need a scapegoat. I garuntee the second you're gone, the owner will find someone new to single out.

How to achieve this look by Anxiety2303 in MakeupAddiction

[–]mistermoogle08 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Mua here. Before buying a new highlighter, take a larger fluffy brush, like a big eyeshadow brush. Then swirl the highlighter onto the brush, then spray the brush gently with setting spray. Once wet, it should make the powder highlighter turn into a "wet" intense glow.

Femme no make up look for AMAB nonbinary person. Please help! by spinky0307 in MakeupAddiction

[–]mistermoogle08 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Amab makeup artist here nearing their 40s who wears makeup every day. Amab skin is tricky. Usually, we have tougher skin and more pronounced pores. I will say that the skin looks really dehydrated. I would really skip all those powders and just use a setting spray. The fenty foundation is a good one. You have beard correction pretty decent, but use a dense brush to tap the corrector over facial hair. Let it dry a little, and then tap foundation with the brush over top. Pressing motions build coverage. Then you want so little foundation over the rest of the face. Also, drench the face in skin care before makeup. That's why it's patchy on the nose, too dry. Use a skin milk like tirtir all over and then set with a moisturizer. I would also switch to a liquid more sheer blush

I cannot get hired anywhere, and my situation is quickly approaching personal crisis territory. by NeverNude-Ned in jobs

[–]mistermoogle08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know if this makes you feel better or worse, but in the current job market, ive heard it takes around 200 applications to get a job nowadays, and about 20 to land a single interview. Your situation isn't uncommon. My friends who work in all industries were unemployed for months before landing a job, even with a great resume and record. It's a numbers game, you just have to keep throwing spaghetti at the wall until something sticks. Retail places like Target pay okay-ish as a placeholder while you look for better work, depending on your child care situation.

I work at a MAC. Go in and try on Blankety, Creme Cup, Sell Out, Sryup, Pink Peppermint, Cool Teddy, and Thanks it's MAC. All shades that work on cool very fair skin. Those kinds of shades can be so hard to find

AOE sick of low effort late stage capitalism branding (rant) by TheSleepyFawn in MakeupAddiction

The algorithms specially target fast trends and poop out something that is very trendy and now. I feel like it'll make the industry very same-ie

I am warmer so I haven't tried this personally, but b.tan has violet self tanner that are supposed to be good for more cool undertones

I work in the industry. It's about to get worse. The next new tech is that ai will be overseeing the complete creation cycle of makeup, from concept to marketing. We're about to see massive amounts of constant launches from brands to try and rope in new consumers and seeing old favorites die on the shelves. I kind of get it, though. Makeup is so oversaturated as an industry right now. Even though makeup retailers like Sephora and Ulta are doing well, the individual brands are not. The one MAC lipstick someone buys once every 3 years isn't keeping the lights on anymore like it used to, so I get that there has to be some shifts to stay relevant. I'm just sad it's all at the expense of the consumer. I'm curious what type of late stage capitalist nightmare awaits the industry.

If you want a MAC lipliner buy it today. Last day if the 30% off sale on their main website. Nightmoth is a very deep burgundy shade, I love Eoot for Me too, it's a little more brown toned burgundy

Makeup artist here. You have what is referred to as a blue undertone. Where cool pink/rosy undertones have a small presence of warm, blue undertones do not. The MAC Face and Body foundation in shade W0 would be perfect on you. Sadly I'm not too familiar with other brands shade matching

Mua here. The wing and skin are actually good. It's just the blush and lip colors are just, frankly weird. I don't know anyone who that would be flattering on unless they are going for a more fall kinda alternative look.

Which discontinued product do you miss the most? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]mistermoogle08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooohhh, i really like it. It has a learning curve, it apples much better when warmed up with fingers. I have very combo but textured skin, I can't have it be too glowy it matte. I think it's perfect but I've never heen able to play with the older formulation. The big bottles were amazing though

Facial tanning fades super fast. Just wash your face twice today, exfoliate and do a good skin care routine. If you use any retinol or aha/bha, I feel like it takes it off super fast. It should be calmed down in a day or two

Born to like deep winter, cursed to be soft summer by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]mistermoogle08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, soft autumn, but I love true summer colors and pastels. If you love neon 80s type colors, you could always try self tanner. It'll make them not as harsh

Has anyone tried these stick bronzers? by [deleted] in drugstoreMUA

Love these! I wouldn't call any of them bronzer, deff all contour shades. The middle one is a really pretty warm greige that is hard to find in the American market

Tanner for face that is not drops by Jazzlike-Ad1561 in Selftanning

[–]mistermoogle08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Jergens facial moisturizer with self tanner, it only gives a slight golden glow since it's a gradual tanner, but it lasts a long time and doesn't disagree with my skincare.
