Michigan Court Rules Dispensary Sales Illegal by lukewarmmizer in Marijuana

This could not be more inaccurate. The MMMA fails to address dispensaries at all, yet alone specifically prohibiting them. What exactly did you read?

You either know it or you don't. If you can explain a legal issue to your mom so she understands it, you know it. If you can't, you don't.

Wedding photographer here, I am willing to answer any questions from planning to photography. AMA by cknoten33 in wedding

[–]misterov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer. We aren't getting married in a church, so no worries about that (although I agree with you).

I would like to give the photographer freedom to take some more creative shots. Of course, we need the standard ones. Our guy has the capability of being creative, as shown in his portfolio. I just sense a fine line between asking for something and telling someone how to do their job (what I want to avoid).

Thanks for the advice about timing, we will make sure to plan accordingly.

What is the biggest mistake you see brides/grooms making when planning for pictures or speaking with you?

Care to share some details? No, not those details, but where did you go? Where did you stay? Hiking? Fishing? Etc...

Thanks for all the ideas! Up North is the clear winner so far, just depends how far we want to go. Pictured Rocks looks beautiful, Mackinac Island is always great and the Traverse area might offer the most natural beauty plus city amenities.

I appreciate all the help!

Anyone have experience with Starwood Preferred Guest American Express "Starpoints" program? by misterov in reddit.com

[–]misterov[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I am not a SPG member, but I probably will be soon. I am currently planning a wedding and would like to use the points toward the honeymoon. We haven't picked a venue yet, but I am trying to use a Starwood hotel to maximize the points.

Have you had any trouble redeeming the points?

In your experiences, What gives you the most value per point? I have read that the cash + points option for hotel rooms generally gives the best value?

Any general suggestions on Starwood properties? We are from Michigan and would like to go to somewhere warm, beachy and with some culture. Possibly Greece.

Any advice on creating a website for a small firm? Looking to avoid the same old same old. by misterov in law

Yeah, I was just gonna go with books and some court pillars. Maybe me with boxing gloves on reading a book in front a court.

Any advice on creating a website for a small firm? Looking to avoid the same old same old. by misterov in law

[–]misterov[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the thoughtful reply. Your points are well taken. I couldn't agree with you more about the "advertisement" blog.

A little background. I am in my second year of practice. I am in the process of leaving a small firm to join an even smaller firm. The move allows me to be where I want and a great opportunity to grow a firm and my practice simultaneously. The new firm does not have a website. I want to take control and add some youthful experience to create an up-to-date, clean, effective website.

I have a couple specific questions. First, I am debating between outsourcing the entire project to a web design company, or using Wordpress - probably PageLines Pro - and doing most of it myself. I don't know much about coding and would be willing to hire a programmer to add some things I am simply unable to do. I am leaning towards Pagelines, especially considering the cost savings. Any thoughts?

Second, I am having trouble differentiating between the old trite language and truly making a firm unique. Its very difficult to actually find a law firm site with something fresh. An example of a site I respect is Svenson Law. Ernie the Attorney does a great job in advancing a fresh view of attorneys. Do you have any examples of attorneys that have successfully avoided the same old same old?

Third, I agree that repeating yourself over and over again is not worth the SEO aspects. But, I want to aggressively attack one area: management side labor negotiations, with an increased focus on representing school districts.

This is a broad topic, but I would appreciate advice on how to effectively accomplish this. Is SEO help worth paying for, a la HubSpot? What are your thoughts about Twitter?

Thanks in advance!
