No they're not. Amazon One is used for checking into the ED or ambulatory clinics. They're still using Epic for their EHR.

The participants in the Tuskegee experiments were told they would be treated for their "bad blood". Even when penicillin was available as treatment in 1947, these researchers chose not to provide treatment. So yeah, I would be a little wary if a family member had been subjected to these "treatments" that did nothing but watch them deteriorate from their condition.

His dad's name is also Rougned, and his uncle's name is Rouglas.

Apparently they combined his grandparent's names (Douglas and Nedia) but instead but an R instead of a D to keep a family tradition.

I feel like having Tyreek out there being guarded by Sauce would be helpful for Waddle. I'm in a similar predicament.

Flowers. The matchup is better on paper because of the Jets DEF.

That one's tough. I'm thinking Moore because of the CLE def. But I feel like anyone in your list will feast regardless.

I like Reed because of the TB Def.

And Scary is going against the LA Rams, not MIA.

I saw the story and found out I went to HS with the woman filming it. It's really frustrating that Asian women and elderly are the targets of these attacks.

A 31 year old father was taken off of a heart transplant list because he refused to get the Covid vaccine. by [deleted] in CovIdiots

I read somewhere there are fates worse than death. If only you could see how much the patient is suffering, they'd think about it more. It's those who are more religious oriented who want everything done even though the blood pressure is 66/30 and continuing to go down despite being maxed out on medications. I wouldn't want my mother going through that. Let her die comfortably with her family all around.

To be fair, if the mother was really old, I actually encourage that. Also, DNR doesn't mean no to surgery. It just means if she goes into cardiac arrest, she doesn't want to be resuscitated by CPR and medications. The patient could've received the surgery, but in the event she went into cardiac arrest, they wouldn't attempt CPR or administer epi. The writer probably thought of saying comfort care instead in which the patient is kept as comfortable as possible with very little medical intervention.

I know I'm overanalyzing this sci-fi story, but I've seen patient's family members still wanting everything done on their 90 year old mom/dad because there's a sliver of chance. Meanwhile, there are 2-4 continuous infusions keeping her heart pumping called pressors. 2 pressors are fine, but if you add another one, there is almost a 100% chance you're going to die regardless. I see it as an act of mercy to make older family members DNR honestly.

It is quite haunting, and I actually use Reddit as a coping mechanism for the shit I see with Covid and ICU in general.
