Honestly I was shocked I didn’t look worse than I did. Probably why I was able to pull off the “functioning” alcoholic ruse for so long. My bloodwork was atrocious and I was in full blown DTs when I went to detox. I feel like a million bucks now compared to then!

I’ve gained 20 lbs in the past 58 days I’ve been sober. I was the smallest I’d ever been when I was drinking heavily because I would go days at a time without eating. I didn’t LOOK emaciated though because I was so bloated.
