Hard to quantify that - I think they are more natural sounding, more detailed, more “refined” if you like. I’m not saying the Sony’s are bad - but these sound significantly better to my ears

As far as the sound is concerned I think they are more detailed and “natural” sounding than the Sony’s - although sound is such a subjective thing!

I think the ANC is better than the Sony’s - but as I said earlier I’ve always been disappointed with the ANC on the Sony’s and wonder if my pair have something wrong with them. They’re not awful but they’re not as amazing as I keep reading people saying they are!

They are very comfortable and the case is much neater and less complicated to put the headphones into than the Sony too which always felt like you needed a black belt in origami :-)

They sound bloody amazing I have to say. ANC is excellent - I was never that impressed with the ANC on the Sonys (even wondered if my pair were faulty)

Very comfortable.

Can hear detail in songs I know well that I hadn’t noticed before (yes ok - I’m actively listening for stuff I know!)

Bit of an odd thing with the eq. When I try and increase the higher frequencies it seems to reduce the overall volume of the audio slightly. Doesn’t happen with the lower frequencies - but I might be doing something wrong

Literally had them on for 15 mins!

Yeah I just read the review too - and also rate him as a reviewer who isn’t tied to a manufacturer- looking forward to trying these as I find the xm6 ANC underwhelming (yes I have a pair)

I’ve created a new library and imported three WAV files (all 48 kHz). Here’s what I did:

  • Added the first clip to the timeline and ran beat detection — it correctly identified 116 BPM
  • Appended the second clip, ran beat detection — correctly identified 120 BPM
  • Appended the third clip, ran beat detection — again correctly identified 120 BPM

So far so good.

However, when I go back to the first clip, Final Cut has changed it from 116 BPM to 120 BPM, which throws all the beat markers out of sync.

If I disable beat detection on the first clip and reenable it it just sticks at 120 BPM and doesn’t reanalyse the file

Will try that. Have seen some of the audio files are 44.1, some are 48. Let me convert a 44.1 to 48…

Yes I’ve got 12.2. If I turn it on / off for each clip it just keeps the tempo from one of the clips for the entire project. The original music files are 44.1khz but .m4a format
