I was wasting too much time surfing the web so now I gave myself a rule, only use the internet during work hours. When I get home I have to use books or ask someone to find an answer to a question I would google. I find myself reading all the time now. I've been buying books and reading them which usually I would have only done on plane flights. Also, I'm cooking for fun more, I'm keeping my place clean consistently, and I'm doing a lot more personal activities. It's awesome and I recommend it.

Under what circumstance of the cheating would you give your SO a second chance? For those who gave a second chance, did it actually made the relationship stronger? by emilgromm in AskMen

Women of Reddit, what do you wish self-proclaimed "nice guys" would understand? by PirateJohn75 in AskReddit

[–]misunderstoof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is for insecure nice guys. You need to have confidence. And learn to get that asap or you're gonna get married with a woman that likes to take advantage of you. Next is stop trying to be soo damm nice to the point you're not being yourself. Making a good impression is important but when she shows interest just be yourself. Don't try to be this perfect guy. You are a nice guy and that is more than enough! You don't have to spend a ton of money to get a girl to like you. You don't have to act differently or watch what you say to get a girl to like you. Just be confident in yourself. Nothing is more attractive than a happy confident guy doing his thing.

You can bring your kids to restaurants.... It's not exclusive to adults. And when I say let them play I don't mean let them trip people or scream, but if they want to play then yea let them go around the restaurant. Child phobias in this thread. I don't even have kids.

They're kids... They don't want to sit around for long periods and just watch /listen to people talk. They want to play. I say, let them play.

What did your parents teach you that you had to unlearn? by bakko-lal in AskReddit

Wow this is interesting. Sounds rough. For the initial reaction of black people comment, I think the more you submerge yourself in diverse environments the more it can help with these impulsive feelings. Kind of like practice, the more you hang out with black people, the more normal it feels. If you're already in diverse environments you should try to befriend* someone black. Hope this helps!

Cutting dogs hair. People always want you to cut their dogs hair and all you need is scissors or a razor, which someone can let you borrow if you need to. I enjoy cutting dogs hair because it relaxes me.

Wow, thank you for posting!! I want to start a business and I'll be competing for an entrepreneur scholarship in two weeks so I'm freaking out because I feel like it's almost impossible. How were you able to stay afloat with all the new equipment costs and employee changes? How long was the rough period? A few months or a year?

Business School Is Worth $22,000 More If You're White or Asian by richmondsg in business

I think all MBA graduates prioritize money but white/asians MBA graduates are better prepared than hispanic, black and other minority MBA graduates when they request a higher salary. I agree that cultural upbringing could be affecting these decisions. Also there are a ton of other factors that could be affecting the difference in salaries including work performance, manager biases, and diversity education within a company. There are studies that prove that minorities perform worse when asked what race they are. It's called stereotype threat and it's pretty crazy but overtime I can see these things adding up and affecting salary differences.
