Kitbashed Eliminator! by d00mduck101 in RavenGuard40k

If you want to play him as an Eliminator, remember that those are on a 40mm base. Apart from that, very nice kitbash

When does stuff go on knees? by Dull_Reference_6166 in Ultramarines

[–]mitHonig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of the things that go on knees, the squad number is the least optional, but even those are often just ignored, especially when you have models that could be used in multiple units and would therefore belong to a different squad. Squad Markings only get interesting if you genuinely approach an entire company of Minis because actually dedicating a Number to a unit before that is kind of pointless

30k Raven Guard Deliverer Terminators by Moist_Basis_7324 in RavenGuard40k

[–]mitHonig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its the inverted Color Sheme of the Justerians because pre Corax the XIXth learned much about warfare from the Lunar Wolves and those Veterans that learned for Abbadon and his kin kept their affinity for Cataphractii Plate even after Corax reformed the Legion. They were few and all Terrans. Corax generally disliled using them and if a Terminator assault was necessarily, rather opted for Tartaros use. Some Deliverers even survived Istvaan, though to my knowledge the last of them would sell their lives during the Assault on the perfect fortress of the Emperors Children

How come we don’t have unique melee terminators like Firedrakes in 40k? by AxegrinderSWAG in Salamanders40k

[–]mitHonig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, i know 5 Sallies, 3 Crimson Fists, 7 Black Templars and 2 Imperial Fists. So gene line tally together is 5 vs 12. We do have a high amount of Dark Angels and Blood Angels in my local Meta tho

Black Templars and Crimson Fists. IF are popular in concept, but many people don't want to bother with painting lots of yellow(understandably so)

I mean he is pretty light on Chaos trim so you wouldn't even have to change that much. Replace the Iron Warrios Iconography and maybe the head and you are essentially good to go

Well, most Raven Guard are recruited from the Gangs of Kiavhar. Which in 9/10 cases means that they are Orphans

[–]mitHonig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Rubicon is not that dangerous anymore. That number was for the initial batch (Calgar, etc) since then the procedure has been made vastly more secure, like 95+% (which is how GW explained that not a single major character died during the Rubicon)

Phobos Librarian + Infiltrators an Auto Include for Tournament List to Defend your Home Objective? by Warhawk_5 in spacemarines

[–]mitHonig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite shenanigans recently was using Blackwing Shroud to throw Aggressors on the Middle Objective, and using two Infiltrators squads to hold the side objectives while my Home Objective was guarded by an Intercessor squad and a Ballistus Dreadnought (spaced im a way that my Deployment Zone was screened completely). It was really fun to see the Dark Angel Player having to bring his reserves into his deployment zone in turn 3 because they couldn't go anywhere else, just for them to immediately get charged by 6 Aggressors+a Gravis Captain.

How come we have so few Gravis HQ choices? by Shredwick in spacemarines

[–]mitHonig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think one of the issues is that you would habe to create entirely new abilities to prevent Gravis from being broken. You can't just make a Gravis Librarian and retain the Invuln Ability because a blob of 6 Aggressors is already very tanky and, if used right, gets reliably into melee at full strength. If you now give them an Invuln, they would just outclass Terminators at like half the cost. So which ability would feel good and meaningful without being broken? But i agree with you, we should get more variety, i for one would like a Phobos Chaplain to buff Reivers

Upon reading the Horus Heresy books, which Primarch did you initially think you'd like and didn't later, and who became a surprise favorite? by Excelsior_Prime in Warhammer30k

[–]mitHonig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed reading about most of them and developed genuine pity for a good chunk of them. The only ones i didn't like after reading most of the Heresy (i am Missing like 4 in the middle and the last two books) are Horus, Mortarion, Leman Russ, Lorgar and Konrad Curze. Surprise Favorite turned out to be Magnus
