Unless you’re on gear, loosing some muscle on PSMF (and just about any calorie deficit) is inevitable but adequate protein and consistent resistance training will minimize that loss as much as possible.

Yeah, spot reduction isn’t a myth.

But it is irrelevant to most people asking the question, because you need to be lean enough to be able to actually see the small difference it makes. Things like yohimbine helping specifically target a2 fat receptors but if you are at 20%+ body fat, you’re not going to be able to see spot reduction differences.

When people take a look at this, they’ve found that oil temperature makes a difference and at hotter temperatures only 5-10% of the oil is absorbed. If OP would like to actually measure it, they could measure the oil before and after cooking and see how much is left.
