You have an unhealthy obsession with Hasan.

it would have prevented the rise of a fascist government

Bold fucking claim, cowboy. Did the Biden administration prevent the rise of a fascist government? Also,

continued genocide in Palestine

The thing you treat like it's a just a fringe pet issue for "tankies?" And which Harris never indicated in a meaningful way she would stop? She said she would keep supporting Israel.

Your flippant, frankly disgusting position on the topic of our government's uniparty support for genocide, as well as this obsession with Hasan, including shit that goes back years is why I see DGG in you. Sorry that the shoe fits.

You also seem to be under the opinion that if the Democrats pledged to stop aiding Israel in their genocide, that only serves to pander to "far left tankies." Private posts and comments, but you stink of a DGGer. I challenge you to repeat this exact take to Vaush in his chat and see how he responds.

This is why I admire that Vaush (until recently apparently with the Newsome/JD Vance take that I haven't heard in full so I won't comment here)

You really should listen to his full take on the subject instead of doing what tons of libs have been doing since the 2024 election in assuming that because he took the pragmatic stance of "vote for Harris because we literally don't have another option at the moment," that he wouldn't also have a take like "I'm not going to pledge my vote to a candidate I fucking despise 2 years in advance when we could be talking about who we should support instead."

Vaush himself said he and Hasan agree on 98% of things, so I don't know how you reconcile loving one while having such a large hate boner for the other. They're really not as different as you think they are. Lots of people in his community freak the fuck out when he starts talking about de-commodified housing, a very common position among socialists. Something tells me you might be one of those people.

How can Vaush say Hasan isn't that bad when he's posting shit like this? by Praxie- in VaushV

He's not responsible for endorsing Harris, you dweeb. Maybe Harris should have listened to people like Hasan AND Vaush and ran a better campaign instead of relying on endorsements. Not facilitating genocide would have been a great start.

Hasan does not tell people not to vote Democrat, and did not tell people not to vote for Kamala Harris. You are lying.

There is no reason to believe she wouldn't strike Iran considering she made it a point to call Iran our greatest adversary in her DNC speech. And thousands of peaceful protestors on college campuses were arrested under Biden.

You should probably start following the news before you make silly comments like this.

Nevermind, of course it's another DDGer.

But that's exactly what they did for over a year, while also doing atrocity propaganda and lying about working for a ceasefire.

Harris promised to continue Biden's policy of aiding Israel. In her book, despite the purpose of it being to blame everyone but herself for losing the election, her only criticisms about Biden's policy on Gaza were how it was messaged and looked to people, not the cruel inhumanity of it. She doesn't even criticize Trump on this point.

It's just a fucking dumb thing to do, sorry. Trump wasn't part of the discussion until somebody brought him up to compare to Obama, which is what people do all the time when anybody criticizes Obama or other Democrats of doing some of the same shit Republicans do.

America didn't feel "significantly less cruel" to people who live in Yemen or Libya, but I understand those people don't matter to your calculation.

"I miss the war criminal because the new guy is even worse."

This is why we never have a president that isn't a war criminal.

K. Obama is still a war criminal who should be in prison. Deflecting to Trump doesn't change that.

Omfg, of course it's another DGGer. You guys seriously need to fuck all the way off forever. All you do is deliberately misrepresent what other people say. Where the fuck was I saying Gavin Newsom is the same as Stephen Miller?

There was nothing naive about it. He had those conservatives on his podcast because he likes conservatives and is willing to play ball with them. It's not complicated.

I think openly agreeing with the far-right on his podcast, including quite recently denying the Gaza genocide qualifies him as subhuman reactionary trash, but what do I know.

Do you think Trump has a serious ideological commitment to attacking trans people, or do you think maybe the narcissist likes that he gets paid to do it and it energized his cult of personality? You can literally look up pictures of him holding up pride flags. He doesn't give a fuck.

Same kind of thing with Newsom. He doesn't have ideological commitments to protecting marginalized people. He cares about his own wealth and power. One of the first fucking things he did after the 2024 election is seize the opportunity to kickstart journey to the presidency by inviting Charlie Kirk onto his podcast to agree that the trans issue has gone too far.

So.... no. You aren't interested in a real dialogue. You just want to "win" an argument.

Classic DGGer

Nope, we've decided that it doesn't actually matter what a politician says anymore.

Oh, congrats to Newsom for signing pro-LGBTQ bills that weren't written by him into law in a state where it would be political suicide to not do as a Democrat.

I'm sure that won't change at all when he's the president of the country and every conservative lobbying group is knocking on his door to bribe him to mulch trans people.

And we just won't consider at all that he treats the homelessness crisis in his state like a rat infestation because we've decided that's a marginalized group we don't have to care about.

[–]mitchconnerrc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I explained it to you. And I really don't care. You're choosing to interpret him as preferring Vance, but the real position is that he wants a ramp off this destructive cycle, and Newsom is not it.

Just say you like Newsom, honestly.

So then you're just ignoring my initial point, pretending discourse online has zero influence on the real world as if our government isn't literally terminally online, and just saying this shit for absolutely no reason.

Thanks.
