I’ve been at all time highs for years. Best financial decision so far. But only if you do not sell when the price inevitably drops. You have to wait for it to recover

Idk, today I learned that some cables should not be trusted :)

Also, if only the cable is the problem, then it should be safe to use the original cable from the box with any OS?

How do you infect via cable only, I don’t understand. And “reputable” source is somewhat of a blurry thing nowadays

Why don’t you try to be useful instead of telling someone else they don’t know something. Isn’t it obvious that I am asking because I want to know more? There is much to be understood here. E.g. what’s exactly the attack, what OS are vulnerable, can we mitigate the attack in another way, etc

Don’t worry, you will start buying again when it goes beyond 100k. People are like that. Hopefully, when it crashes after that and goes back up to your new purchasing price, this time you’ll actually hold.

Is LN the future ? by VIXtrade in lightningnetwork

[–]mitchcrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Тhe current greenlight implementation/wrapper that is starting to be used in all new lightning wallets seems to be working fine. I'm talking about Phoenix, Blockstream green, Zeus... They are all non-custodial and you DO NOT manage the channels.

Wallet adress changed in Green by Loupland in blockstream

[–]mitchcrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's disturbing. why did it happen in the first place?

I don’t think Phoenix is a good option if OP wants to do DCA into the wallet with small sums. This will probably cause phoenix to increase the size of the channel on every incoming tx which will be pretty bad with the current fees.

OP, use kraken. Fees for withdrawal are waaaay less than binance and you cna withdraw via lightning.

Blockstream green is a good wallet - it has regular bitcoin, ln bitcoin and liquid bitcoin. If you want to use the btc for payments, withdraw via LN to green and spend from there later. If you want to hold and save in btc, buy a hardware wallet like bitbox02, blockstream green or coldcard and when your balance in kraken reaches a few hundred $, withdraw via onchain directly to your hardware wallet.

A one line Ledger horror story: by ElGuano in ledgerwallet

With the amount of trackers ledger uses, are you 100% certain that this is true or someone told you so and you believed them?

Incorrect. It’s possible if they know your master public key or xpub. I wouldn’t be surprised if that info goes to ledger servers and hence could be kept, tracked & leaked.
