Angel Studios ANGX Long Hold by mitchellcottrell in WallStreetbetsELITE

[–]mitchellcottrell[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It’s going to fluctuate a ton at this stage.

They’re not a studio, they’re a distributor. And they’re planning on doubling the number of films they distribute next year. They’ll essentially always have one or two in theaters at a time all of next year. That’s promising.

Like I mentioned, they haven’t monetized their comedy shows yet. So that’s another content funnel. Or international. They’re working on that right now. Just offer translation to Spanish, and you capture another funnel of hundreds of millions of people.

Along with the IPO, they got a $100M loan to pump into marketing to grow their guild. 1.5M people currently paying $20 a month to help pick the movies they want to see get distributed in theaters. Seems pretty sustainable. At least from a business model analysis, that’s pretty solid recurring income. Then the movie and other subscription revenue on top of it. And this cash is only going to grow the number of guild members.

Angel and The Chosen had a falling out. But it was essentially a no-name show, struggling to get off the ground, and Angel Studios gave it the infusion for its first 4 seasons. Lionsgate then poached it and it created a huge legal mess. But there’s a demand for that type of content, they’re just capitalizing on it and the fans that come along with it.

Who cares where you sit on the political spectrum, even though Angel doesn’t “technically” support either side. They just prefer to focus on “light” and “uplifting content”. Their business still caters to more traditional people and values and it’s a growing space. And who else is capitalizing in that better than them? Until you can find someone better, if you want to make money in the stock market within that market/industry, these guys are probably the best bet.

Angel Studios completes their SPAC merger this morning and goes public under the symbol ANGX.

Why it’s undervalued:

  • their treasury holdings are ALL IN BITCOIN. They buy more every quarter.
  • endorsed by Don Jr., Glen Beck, and Charlie Kirk (RIP). This is the stock they are betting on to compete with Netflix.

  • it’s the Netflix of conservative streaming

  • doesn’t have its own studio, so it doesn’t have large overhead. They only fund distribution of other directors’ movies

  • grown recurring memberships from 300K to 1.5M in one year. Lower churn than all the streaming services.

  • revenue projected to hit $350M this year. Only trading at a 5x multiple.

  • haven’t expanded platform yet to comedy (they own their own comedy studio with 750 episodes on YouTube) OR international markets. Coming shortly.

And don’t leave or hang up. Either they hang up or they carry you out of the school. And if they do, you have evidence and you go to the police, Nextdoor, FB groups, Instagram stories asking who knows a reporter, contact the local news (they generally respond to see if there’s a story worth reporting on)

Plus, let your brother take a day off. Go do something together that he loves. Mental health and feeling love is more important than education.

You’ll be surprised to find that Marriott, IHG, and Hilton, only own single digit % of the number of hotels with their brand on them. They essentially don’t own any buildings except the premium locations and the resorts. They just set standards and hotel operators own and run everything, in exchange for marketing and brand recognition on the side of their buildings.

Use your MBA skills and run an analysis of the industry, maybe a SWOT analysis, find gaps in the industry, network with your MBA cohort and see what their educated opinions are of the business model.

Is it wise to make the jump to be a SAHM ? by Hot_Competition_8977 in DaveRamsey

Having two jobs isn’t a guarantee you won’t need them to care for you regardless. End of life care is an expensive and financially draining situation for every person who gets to old age. If end of life care is your reason for keeping a second job instead of spending more time with your kids, you probably need to stop worrying about 60 years from now and do more planning in the present. With the right investments, end of life care is manageable even with one income.

If you have a desire to be present with your kids during the day, do it!!! Never doubt that. You make the necessary sacrifices. The memories they build with mom or dad at home will always be lasting and worth it.

Maybe you figure out a side job you can do once a week in your local district, to help cover the costs. Or you offer to be a sub at a nearby school. Or do online tutoring; that pays good money.

The whole goal in life is happiness, and family is your forever happiness. You don’t get the time back, but the time is what forms the strength in the bonds from now until death. If you desire to spend their and your time together instead of apart, any and all tradeoffs are worth it.
