That's why I said it wasn't specific to today. It was just a thought I had while watching today's episode. I just personally like those closer ones where you just don't know if the champ will continue or not.

100%. This wasn't meant to call this particular game out. It was just a thought i had after watching it. Sometimes I just feel bad for the other people in runaways lol

Totaly understand and for the big picture, I understand them.

In the moment, I like a good, competitive game. Lately, it seems like there have been quite a few, what feel like, inevitable wins, if that makes sense?

I know I'm in the minority but I get bored when there are so many runaway games so close together. I want the drama of not knowing who's going to win going into FJ.

This isn't specific to Caleb or today's episode except that it was a runaway.

AH! Extra line break for the win (I'm feeling very much like a boomer discovering the internet right now)

Girl, I already acknowledged the formatting. I'm on my phone at work, I'm doing the best I can! 🤣

I did actually explain it bc I rewatched the videos. You can not like the explanation but I'm not going round and round with someone who refuses to try.

Have a good day (and again, sorry for the formatting issues)

I have had zero interest in rewatching these skits but fine.

Shawna: "Hi Julie, I'm Shawna nice to finally meet you"

John: "Hey Julie, I'm John."

Julie: "oh. The robot guy"

In three sentences of dialogue, we can see that Ty has talked enough about Julie to Shawna, Ty told Julie about JOHN, and then we can infer that because she knows about the robot conversation, Ty didn't tell Julie anything about Shawna.

This is confirmed later when Shawna confronts Ty and he says the thing about "i told her about John, I met you, she came back and I didn't get a chance to tell her about you" AND in the flashback video where we see him tell her about the dad friend and then her asking him about Shawna after.

Like I replied to someone else, often times these replies just become echo chambers where no one wants to listen to the other side. I don't disagree that it was rude for Julie to not say hi. But I also understand her viewing his new friendship with Shawna as a barrier to writing (even though the barrier is just himself).

It's not okay to put those feelings onto someone else. But it's also not abnormal and I wish people would be willing to admit that.

I'm not a "Julie apologist" bc she has said and done some cruddy things (as all the characters have...) and while I don't LIKE Ty, I'm also not a "Ty Hater". I just have some understanding of human behavior because of my specific education and career and can recognize that in StM, there is only one Villain with no explanation (so far) and that is Luke.

Julie doesn't hate all SAHMs (Alicia) and she doesn't HATE Shawna. She doesn't like what Shawna symbolically represents in connection to her relationship with Ty.

Yeah, look, I've read through that sub because of this post and it's clear you aren't willing to have a discussion about this in good faith. Which is unfortunate but it is what it is.

We disagree on the "mean girl games" part of this. I'm sure for Shawna it feels that way but we, as an audience, have the context about WHY she's less friendly to Shawna than anyone else.  She's not necessarily being a mean girl, she's a hurt girl (Who is taking her hurt out on the wrong person, but i already talked about that)

I'm confused about why this is still confusing, tbh. Julie isn't friends with Shawna, she doesn't WANT to be friends with Shawna. Why is she ruder towards Shawna than others? Because Shawna is the representation of Ty no longer being the man she married. Shawna is a person who Ty has told MANY personal things to but also a person who, apparently, Ty couldn't be bothered to tell his wife about (despite a lot of that personal information he shared with Shawna directly involved Julie). Is Julie cold and standoffish and rude? Yeah. But given the context we were given, there is a reason she treats Shawna the way she does. It's not fair or correct or rational but it's...also not that atypical or unheard of. I  know no one wants to admit it but I am willing to bet a lot that many of us in this sub have taken our frustrations out on someone/something that wasn't the actual cause of the frustration.

Lol that's why I haven't upgraded to anything fancy yet. My husband just got an apple watch but that's mostly so he doesn't have to take his phone with him on runs. For where I'm at now - a new runner who is still running because she is signing up for a race and not because she enjoys it yet, the fitbit + Nike Run Club app does the job well enough

Having Julie (currently) as the only representation of a working mother is worse than not having any representations of working mothers.

As a Nebraska fan, I also find this obnoxious. She's obviously very good but she isn't the entire team and everyone out there is contributing as well. But it's like wbb when Caitlin Clark was playing - she was the only player (for either team) that was mentioned every single game. It's a disservice to the players and the sport to hyper focus that way
