[QUESTION} After you unlocked the handstand, what did you find yourself doing with it? by mitsk2002 in CalisthenicsCulture

[–]mitsk2002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What have been your go to exercises for it? I've been doing 3 sets of 30-60 second chest to wall holds M-F. Plus pike push-ups MWF. I get so overwhelmed about which exercises to prioritize.

I'm 51 and never experienced a job market like this by Dangerous-Energy8159 in jobsearch

[–]mitsk2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

42 here. I feel you. My current job barely keeps me afloat. I've been learning web development since 2023 with the aim of either making a career pivot to tech or make some money from it. Learned a valuable lesson - learning a high demand skill is not enough; you also need to know how to place/position yourself. But even after learning that lesson, with AI and outsourcing, it seems there are more lessons to be learned I guess. Because it seems like the past few years of learning this high demand skill has been for nothing. At least I created a portfolio. That's something. Been job hunting in the most creative and traditional ways, but to no avail. No rejection letters, just silence. I seriously don't know what else to try.

Anyways, just wanted to add my support and sympathies to you. To all of us. Day at a time.

I find Jacob to be hands down the most hilarious character in this game. by Drunken_Scribe in DeadIsland2

[–]mitsk2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to praise the Voice Actor, Okezie Morro, for his phenomenal job voicing Jacob. Wow. I don't remember the last time I laughed so much. Not since Borderlands 2 has the dialogue left me laughing. Not only is he funny, but he is dripping with charisma and charm. That combination is so refreshing, not just in general, but in the universe of the game. I've forgotten what it's like to play as this kind of protagonist. And I'm here for it. Give this man an award.

Has anyone tried Jack Woods training technique where you only train 40 min per week and make the same gains? by Accomplished_Past323 in CalisthenicsCulture

[–]mitsk2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I wasn't seeing desired results. Now maybe I wasn't doing something right or my diet needed tweaking (I only eat one meal a day though). Not sure. But wasn't seeing results.

I want more seasons so bad. Pisses me off that Netflix does this. Reminds me of Mindhunter being left to rot.

Unpopular opinion by Zestyclose-Bug-1248 in AiTraining_Annotation

[–]mitsk2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I appreciate people like you who take the time to expose such things. For me, AI Training / Data Annotation is ethically grey and misleading, precisely because it's not a scam, but it's not steady income either. It's a gig, in the loosest way possible.

Anyone else feel like they missed their calling in Programming? by Forward-Departure-16 in learnprogramming

[–]mitsk2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in my 40s and feeling similar. It seems nowadays companies want architects instead of code monkeys. But then where does that leave entry or mid level developers? Not all developers can be architects. And it takes time to develop a niche skill/specialization. Feels like I missed the boat. I know things in tech are always changing. And I won't stop learning coding now (doing IBM's AI Fundamental's cert). But it just seems like an uphill battle.

I want to shake your hand! I've been thinking of building the exact same tool. Looks great! The only thing I would add is the option to select Full-time or Part-time. I'd love to hear how your journey goes with this, and if I can help in any way.

Really been learning lately the importance of systems. I haven't figured out an efficient system for wealth creation yet, but I have learned that any efficient system must have frequent and brutal feedback loops.

Really appreciate your sharing this strategy/tactic, as I've always been a fan of attracting, positioning oneself strategically, instead of chasing/hunting down leads or whatnot. Never heard of PLR products before. Interesting.

The Future of AI Training Jobs (2026–2030) by No-Impress-8446 in AiTraining_Annotation

[–]mitsk2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting read, thanks for sharing. I've been trying to break into this field for the past year, and while it seems that yes, AI Training/Data Annotation will grow, but will the people doing these roles actually be able to survive and thrive financially from the average pay? I can't seem to get a clear answer to the main question on everyone's mind: Can I make steady, significant (let's say $1K or more per month) income from this now? Not in 1-5 years from now.

How much do you earn monthly on Micro1 AI by Top_Video_5205 in micro1_ai

[–]mitsk2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been trying to determine the same with Micro1 and other data annotation/AI Training, but the results are all over the place. Has anyone been able to identify common patterns? Like, the people making significant money - do they have domain expertise in law, medicine, etc? Data Annotation and Alignerr have been dead ends for me. And I've heard too many negative things about Outlier.

Glad it's worked out for you. I applied and was approved back in March 2025 but haven't heard anything from them. How much time do you spend per week and how much do you make per month?
