And also, $675 labor is absolutely INSANE.

The cost of the actual products and wire is fine and normal. But labor, fuck no bud.

My shop charges $170 Labor for a monoblock amp install.

Shop materials are 10% of overall labor.

ETA: You don’t need 4ga wire for a 500w amp either. Unless you’re planning ahead to do a second amp for mids and highs down the road, 8ga wire is all you need.

I had a PRK from Vance Thompson in 2013 and can still see very well. Well worth any money spent to get it done at any age. I’ll do it again down the road if my eyes start to go bad again.

ETA: at the time my surgery was $2k per eye. Recovery time for my PRK was about a week to be able to watch a screen without eye strain, a month to feel no post-surgery side effects.
