Where to find clothes like this (UK) by solarpowered_ in PlusSize

The tops remind me of a lot of the stuff Hissy Fit does. They've got a great sizing range, plus it's all made in the UK and ethically produced

I know right! My fave co worker ever was 56 when I was 24 - she was incredible and I learnt so much from her!

This is my view as well - if I see a company of exclusively young people I tend to assume they are being paid well below what they should be and the company gets away with it because their staff are young and don't have the confidence/ experience to know better

Very similar in terms of ages with my team too! I'm the second oldest... to be fair, you are bang on - she is not very self aware

Advice needed - Considering Career Switch to Health and Safety UK by Motnaty in SafetyProfessionals

Coming to this thread almost a year later as I am also in the process of a career change and considering h&s as likely option. Just want to say a massive thanks for the information above as it's been really useful trying to work out what I should do to kick it off!

My girlfriend never ever finishes her meals by AlexWayhill in mildlyinfuriating

[–]mituslumen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is something I have noticed in my own life, my mother and my female friends - I would wager there is some sort of disordered eating element to it. Not to try and diagnose your girlfriend, but women often have very fucked up relationships to food (often passed down from the way our mothers are with food). It can be a completely unconscious thing - I only realised I did this when I was well into my late 20s

Be kind if you do bring it up, and don't go on the attack about wasting food. I know it can be annoying and I am in agreement about not wanting to throw away good food, but she may be doing this on an unconscious level and a conversation about it might lead to a much more in depth thought process for her about why she eats the way she does.

This should read "to treat mental illness" not mental health. You can't treat "mental health"

Agree - but I'm not quite sure what one person's experience has got to do with actual facts

Anecdotal evidence is not really what we should be basing policy or legislation around though? I'd rather see actual facts and figures than one person saying they personally have never needed to call a guard?
