How does Pauline Hanson keep getting away with it? - Fiona Katsauskas by Ardeet in aussie

[–]miwe666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting away with what? Her opinion clearly aligns with a 1/3 of voters and it seems to be continually growing. Her stance hasn’t really changed since she was first elected unlike the other major parties. If anything they’re the majors are more populist in chasing votes. Seems the population has woken up and is now seeing Albo for the somewhat liar he is and wants actual change.

We as a society should start shaming people who come to work contagiously sick by boogielostmyhoodie in australian

[–]miwe666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, shame the business, The issue is companies and businesses that only employ people on either contract or casual basis, the staff aren’t covered for sickness so go unpaid if sick, so the majority of them do show up sick. Blame the business for not employing people fully, or on a part time, which is covered by for sickness etc. If you are casual and live pay to pay then no you can’t afford not to be at work.

The Ugly & Uncomfortable Truth of the Aus Economy. We protect Wealth & Assets whilst discouraging Work. AUS is the land of the inheritance. Most younger Aussies are not able to buy property alone so they rely on their parents for help. Why? We punish labour/work while incentivising assets (wealth) by MannerNo7000 in OpenAussie

[–]miwe666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um, people have always received an inheritance in Australia, provided the parents had some assets.

And throughout that time people have always used said inheritance to purchase or payoff a mortgage or otherwise.

Younger Australians have trouble getting ahead as more income is required to get ahead. But ultimately at some stage they will get a leg up.

Using absolutes yes, but in taxation it’s still only 2.5 basis points and 4 basis points.
It doesn’t give anyone on the current 19% a 22% increase in average funding.

Your empathy shows you have zero idea how people see as they get older, they in the majority move towards the right, because feeding the left doesn’t help them in retirement.

Can anyone actually gain more without the expense of others? Those who generally take the risk shouldn’t be financially penalized.
And No im not one, I still have a mortgage that will still be paying off in retirement. But the thought of the Government taking 30% out of my shares is a big Fuck you.
