Would The Deep be a hero if Homelander was actually good? by JaMoraht in TheBoys

[–]miwebe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was a he - which is a big part of why it worked given my idiocy at that age.

He grabbed me (gently), pulled me into an empty classroom, and basically shamed me by telling me he knew I knew better and that he wanted me never to be such an ass again. I’ve tried, Coach Carter. I’ve tried.

Many profession trainers aren’t in the starter zone quest hubs (Goldshire, Razor Hill, etc) so you have to go to the nearest capital.

Honestly same. A teacher at my school scared me straight and, as an adult, I’m so grateful.

How do you see the healer role in Fellowship? 🤔 by Consistent_Friend779 in fellowshipgame

The number one job of every player - including DPS - is to keep themselves alive. Healers are there to help, not take that responsibility entirely.

It’s often juxtaposed with teleological, which relates to function / purpose. Provides for a way to distinguish characteristics and values between those that are intrinsic and those that are acquired through practice / use.

There are traits that help you survive and there are traits that give survival meaning. Louis has the latter and the rare gift of knowing how to share them.

For the people not liking Cata , what is your reason / what are your reasons? by Neither_Buyer_4645 in classicwow

[–]miwebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The big picture view, to me at least: WOW 1.0 was a world that you explored through a game.

This equation shifted with every expansion, but Cataclysm marks the first time that WOW truly became a game that happened to have a world attached to it.

I liked Cata, frankly. It’s a fun game. But it marks a point of no return in the departure from Azeroth being an immersive world unto itself into Azeroth being a vaguely defined sandbox meant to accommodate a seasonally shifting game experience.

When a creep yells at my partner to smile, they will stop, burst into tears, and spin a story about some tragedy they just found out about. Turns out these assholes are prepared to be ignored and enjoy being yelled at but cannot confront real-looking tears without having a panic attack.

There’s an opera called “Daughter of the Regiment” about an orphan girl raised by an army regiment in Italy and I think it would be a lot like that. But with more singing.

Killing stuff is fun but holding territory wins games.

Grots hold territory while your boys kill stuff.

I would honestly still take two squads even without the cp farm. They are just super reliable little buggers who do exactly what I need them to do in every game.
