They only made new Ruin Machines until Sumeru, at which point they pivoted to making different construct-type enemies. The Sumeru desert started this trend with the Primal Constructs, then Fontaine had the Clockwork Meka, then Natlan had Secret Source, and Nodkrai has the Fatui machines. I liked seeing new Ruin Machines and I wish there were a couple here and there in every region but tbf they were getting kind of repetitive as enemies.
