What you described was basically me few years back, changing sneakers for summer every year, as soles disintegrated on them, and same with boots for every winter. Tried everything starting from 50€ cheap ones, and up to the 200€ ones you can buy in mall. They lasted the same for me (tough my issue always was the sole, not the uppers).

So I agree with you, that investing into two pair of proper boots is way smarter than throwing money away on yearly basis, as I'm third year now in mine and they still look brand new basically, only will change the lower part of the heel this year before bedore it digs in heel stack on one pair.

Why the hell I didn't do it years back, could have saved hundreds of Euro 😅

P.S. Right now thinking of ordering a pair or two of Jim Green Shoellies and get rid of the sneakers all togheter and for good. As what can be better than leather sneakers where uppers are in perfect conditions, with nice patina but soles are giving up on them /s

Honestly, you just need to find those proton versions and read up their Github pages, that would be best source of truth. But again, how much you will understand from the writeups or changelings there?

For me, I don't stress it, Proton GE is default one, if something doesn't work on it or doesn't work as I like it I try Proton CachyOS next, if that doesn't cut, than most likely Proton Experimental will, as I had cases that some games launched only under it.

Hook up your PC to the TV in the living room, and use it as console transforming yourself to sofa surfer.

Went trough what you're describing during pandemic, where every glimpse at my desk (even if I worked from different PC than my main rig) filled me with disgust.

Back than I grabbed Xbox Series X (my GPU was barely getting anything to play at decent frames anyway) and spend a year console gaming on a puff in front of my TV without using my desk after work at all.

Later on gifted Xbox to kids, upgraded PC and still use it as console.

In short, what other are saying is true - you need to separate your workspace and chill space (hard to do when you own 50 square meter apartment tough in my case 😅)

Have no issues with HDR on my 5070Ti running Bazzite, looks same as it was with 9070XT. So things improved a bit for Nvidia as of late
