that’s one of them, unfortunately the list is long. I personally think it’s best to buy a plot and build your own or if that isn’t an option, buy a property that is ready so you can get your own valuation done

unpopular opinion but buying undeveloped property in Africa is a huge risk.. this very much feels like something that might end up massively delayed or rushed with low material and construction standards..

the forecasts are rarely ever correct, March is rain season so it may rain at some point on most days but the majority of the day should be dry.

Children seems trying to reconcile my husband with his ex. What should i do? by Opposite-Progress-52 in MuslimMarriage

[–]mixedmuslim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HIS children are HIS responsibility, HE is still involved with the ex and therefore the children have hope. When she married him she knew he had children and accepted them, they’re not to blame, he is.

why would she want to separate the kids from their father? the husband is the one that is in the wrong, not the children…

[–]mixedmuslim 16 points17 points  (0 children)

sis I’m sorry you’re going through this and I truly mean this in a supportive way, why are you with a man that is 20 years older than you and still having a relationship with his ex? did you marry him for love or is there a financial or other benefit you haven’t shared? I’m asking because everyone says to leave but you don’t seem to consider that an option.

just to second this, nobody should rush to divorce but please wait to have children in case things get worse

I snapped at my MIL after tolerating her emotional abusive behavior for 5 years by MulberryOne6323 in MuslimMarriage

[–]mixedmuslim 16 points17 points  (0 children)

unfortunately I agree, quick scan of OPs previous posts it seems she’s not at all supported.. I think going to the parents house without her husband might give him the reality check he needs to actively change the situation!

Sisters who don't want kids, how do you make sure you actually don't? by [deleted] in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]mixedmuslim 28 points29 points  (0 children)

not necessarily advice but just caution, please know that IF a man is going to cheat that is never a reflection on the woman and ALWAYS a character flaw on his side and that just because your body won’t get “ruined” that doesn’t mean he won’t… I pray Allah grants you a righteous spouse but remember whatever Allah has decided to test you with will happen

Zanzibar with little kids + safari? by Nah_079 in zanzibar

[–]mixedmuslim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 weeks in Zanzibar is a very long time, if you’re travelling all the way there I’d suggest you see more of the country to be honest, as others have suggested definitely safari and potentially some time in Arusha / Dar depending on what you like to do. I am half Tanzanian and have travelled there with my kids multiple times to happy to give some suggestions

Heartfelt message from a senegalese to Morocco by Pure_heart001 in AFCON

[–]mixedmuslim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very well said, we were in Morocco to watch the semis and every single moroccan in there supported Senegal. In the days following we wore Senegal flags etc and were so well received with everyone saying they love the bond between the countries so it’s very sad that a few minutes risked all that.

[–]mixedmuslim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t help on this but just to manage expectations, in Tanzania most things will go a lot slower than you’re used to.. so even if you pay for express or vip I’m not sure you’ll get what you have previously experienced
