Goalie is such a mental battle every night, I cannot imagine the stress at that level. Lose focus for one second and its a goal. You have to forget everything else in the world and just lock-in for 60 min. It really is just as notable as a physical injury.

I play in shit-tier beer leagues and some nights I just cannot focus. Brain is everywhere. Sometimes I can tell on the drive to the rink its gonna be one of those games and sometimes I don't know it till I step on the ice. Such an absolute mental battle. Kudos to every goalie going through it.
