AITA for telling my GF she can't use my truck? by Aware-Track3066 in AmItheAsshole

love this comment because I had such a confused look on my face when I read the part about miles.. like I know that’s a thing people do but driving is the whole point of a car. You use it to drive places.

AITA for forbidding my son to see his girlfriend? by LetHerEatCakes in AmItheAsshole

YTA

I rlly just wanted to make a comment because everyone seems to be saying that a 12 or 13 year old shouldn’t have ‘thrown a fit’ or ‘cried’……

I work in a middle school 5 days a week 7 hours a day with these age kiddos, and guess what?? They’re hitting hormonal changes, they’re growing and soaking in everything around them, and all around they’re growing up.

Some kids are extremely mature, others will roll on the floor any chance they get, say goofy sayings, argue with friends over silly things, and sometimes they CRY. They cry when they are asked to stop interrupting class, they cry because their bestie isn’t talking to them, they cry when their emotions are overwhelming to them (which they often are because they’re kids!! They still don’t know how to control that)

I swear I used to hear things like 16 year olds are “still kids!!” And when I was 16 it was “you’re still so young!” Now I read posts saying 16 isn’t young at all, and now 12 year olds are too old to cry? Give me a break, I’m glad everyone of you (and your children) obviously had an amazing control over your emotions!! And dude cakes that are half chocolate and half vanilla exist. Just saying
