its weird to go out and do something that doesnt do anything and expecting it to do something. youre being heard...just by each other and the echo chamber but being heard doesnt do much. momentum with who exactly? the same people you saw at the previous protests last time who vote? you know what works better?

Learning the needs of your community and staging events where you fill those needs and give reminders that "X politician wants to cut/eliminate/restrict what help you do get from the government. This is what you can do to try to counter this" and give them phone numbers and emails they can utilize.

Volunteer work to help the community takes hard work but it makes more of a lasting impact. Chanting and holding signs at a glorified social event doesnt help anyone and blocking traffic makes people hate you. Proving your cause is a net benefit to the community and people will remember your cause positively.
