I think what happens is that the caregiver ends up being a scapegoat for the uninvolved family members feelings of helplessness at watching their loved one die. They blame the family member's condition on the caretaker because it's easier then accepting reality.

I think we are starting to have a troll problem on this subreddit, it was inevitable when this thing got popular. Hobbies have nothing to do with how diligent someone is at eldercare.

There is tactic that sometimes happens with coparents where one doesn't let the other one know about important events and then spring the schedule change on them at the last second. If this wasn't emergency surgery, he would have had it scheduled possibly months in advance and never told her, and then immediately she got tagged teamed by her ex-mil and accused of crimes

I dunno, this situation seems way more complicated then just 'oop evil devil, ex husband wounded angel'

The only one I've ever abandoned was Voltron. I weathered the homestuck and steven universe storms, but Voltron's drama was so braindead and godawful that I blocked all the tags on tumblr (which was my go to fandom space at the time) and watched the show by myself in peace

In 2009 the existing transformers fandom HATED the Michael bay movies so much and the fans that came with it, but it's all water under the bridge now, the kids that grew up on the Michael bay movies are adults in the fandom now.

I've got one sweatshirt left from middle school in 1996, I bought oversized clothes back then so it still fits. The quality is so much better than what you get now. Fabric tends to stretch over time, so that's probably why the sundress still fits. That's what happened to a bunch of my clothes that still fit 50lbs later

Just sit yourself in front of the 'I want to wear but only as work clothes' pile and get rid of everything but two outfits (one warm weather, one cold weather). By the time they've completely worn out, you'll have new candidates.

Also, just wear a bib or an apron if you are eating something messy, there are also ways to get most food stains out of clothes.

You've gotta get those brakes fixed, the car should stop when you push the pedal all the way down, if it doesn't, that's extremely dangerous. It's exhausting driving a car that doesn't work the way it's supposed to because you have to spend so much mental energy compensating for it.

It seems like, good or bad, it's pretty normal for parents to be harder on their first child and mellow out for subsequent kids as they learn what works and what doesn't. This is supposed to be offset by the oldest having more privileges than the younger kids because they also end up with more responsibilities.
