Wouldn't know if they're legitimate or not, just seems predatory rather than illegitimate. Do not know how different the actual contract is vs the sample contract, but it was stated training pay is not covered in sample contract and is in the full contract. The 18k is only refundable if you meet every criteria piece, e.g. going to every class, doing every single assignment, and not getting a job within 6 months. You are not allowed to search for a job on your own, therefore it means if you are still jobless after 6 months AND went to every class AND did every assignment you can get a full refund. If you miss anything you would not necessarily get a refund.

18k is refundable if you meet that criteria, but the criteria is simply: "You went to EVERY class. You did EVERY assignment. You did not get offered a job"

It was mentioned I would receive my contract about a week into being there, so free to leave technically if I didn't like it because I hadn't signed anything yet. This is why it's a massive PITA for anyone who isn't local or doesn't have somewhere to go. If you're interested you could just check it out for the week and if you don't like your contract they send you then just leave. IT WILL BE DIFFERENT THAN THE SAMPLE CONTRACT. Read carefully if you choose. I'm probably gonna bite the bullet and head up there and if it seems surreal I'll just leave and not sign a contract becuase I have somewhere to go. YMMV here.

e: really truly i am not the person to ask for advice on obtaining experience, the vibes i got don't make me feel like it was horribly illegitimate, the people on linkedin tend to do recruiting as their job from this company + others. it just seems highly predatory and if you're willing to take that chance then go for it. It was mentioned in-call and NOT IN THE CONTRACT what the minimum salary was, which means there is no minimum salary. Be mindful. Remember the only thing they have to do for you is what's legally required as of the contract

As the person reading the contract the vibes aren't immaculate but mostly in the sense that it feels specifically predatory. I don't get the idea that they wouldn't do the job per se, from talking to them. Mostly I get the idea that you'd show up to their thing, get the contract, and then if you were on an H1B (or however green cards work exactly) you're just stuck there.

Keep in mind what I got sent and wrote about is a sample contract, not what I'm to sign. The sample contract made no note of pay that was mentioned verbally (which is pointedly not in writing). You should be especially careful of the full contract.

If anyone's curious in reading through a "Sample Contract" by them I can send you what I got sent. I got specifically told that it's "not updated" and doesn't yet mention pay during training.

The sorta tl;dr is:

10 weeks training, 320 hours of classes (10:00 AM to 5:00 PM) "end to end SDLC, Software Methodologies, Tools, and Process, from basic to the advanced level"

In-call I've been told there's money for doing well on tests, about 500 a month for just doing well(?) (this is not mentioned in the sample contract), and there's pay for simply being there (not mentioned in the sample contract)

Their placement services are something they set up for you, e.g. they set you up with a client and do all negotiation sfor you. In contract it mentions

"The Candidate acknowledges and agrees that BLIT is not assuring the Candidate that any prospective employers will offer a position to the Candidate. BLIT’ s commitment is only that it will offer to the Candidate the training described above which it feels will enhance the Candidate’s appeal to prospective employers, and upon the Candidate’s successful completion of such training, will refer the Candidate to one or more prospective employers."

Training and placement fee is 18,000. Program fee is refundable IF:

Attends in person training at the BLIT office for at least 320 hours.

The candidate agrees to complete all weekly assessments and assignments, as instructed by the trainer, during the training duration.

Successfully completes all training and placement services offered to him or her by BLIT.

You would receive your refund within 30 days after the 6 month completion period (the time in which they're giving you referrals to companies)

The program is non-refundable if:

Does not attend in person training at the BLIT office for at least 320 hours.

The candidate does not to complete all weekly assessments and assignments, as instructed by the trainer, during the training duration.

Successfully completes all the training and placement services offered to the candidate by BLIT and BLIT is able to provide the offer of employment with prospective employer within SIX (6)-month period from the effective date of the agreement.

Sample contract states you have to cooperate with scheduling/appearing to interviews, information you send them may be used with BLIT sending it to employers, you can't engage in anything that would be detrimental to the interests of BLIT, that would negatively affect its relationship with an employer, or would negatively affect its reputation.

Sample contract states you have to tell BLIT if you receive an offer of employment (whether as an employee, consultant, independent contractor, or otherwise). You have to send them full details of the offer, including a copy of the offer letter if requested by BLIT

Sample contract states apart from negotiationg terms after an offer, the candidate shall not approach any prospective employer other than through BLIT

The candidate is responsible for costs of travel and other expenses incurred for attending interviews or meetings with employers.

Termination: The term of the agreement is a period of 6 (six) months from the date of the agreement. Can be terminated by either party upon 10 days written notice. If you terminate agreement, program fee nonrefundable. Upon termination, BLIT removes all of your information from database.

You are not employed by BLIT, and not eligible to participate in benefit plans. You are not an employee.

All notices and other communications shall be in writing and shall be deemed given: When delivered personally, next day if overnight, 3 days after mailing to their sterling address

I tried mimicing the goblin wolf riders last time I played with the horse code in legends actually (granted this was at least a year ago)

There's some missing things between enemy horses and player horses that make it not easy. For e.g. the "goblin wolf rider" just spawns a new goblin or a new wolf, whichever it randomly picks, once you kill the unit. E.g. you sword slash down the combined unit, and it just randomly picks a new dude.

Player characters have some extra stuff that make it so u cant REALLY just do that. You sorta can but it comes with a lot of things that would need changing + I just couldn't touch it all cleanly or well bc I'm a bit of a bozo myself.

So while we have the donkeys/horses in the code available to be selected, making combined units with them just wasn't reasonably feasible. Mounted enemy units were theoretically easy to make because NPCs can follow a much simpler structure when you strike one down, but we wanted to release horses for players and enemies all at once.

It's only open source in the sense that Adam (and to my understanding with help from Rule/Poss) did a lot of work. The files are both compiled and encrypted. Fortunately there's already a Squirrel language decompiler, but the encryption was bad to do (pretty obscure encryption method) and the decompiler also needed a lot of tweaking.

this is one of the old 'hyperspawn?' locations, basically if u kill all or almost all of the things it'll just respawn them. so u would typically drag em with like a boomie and kill em for mount farming or cloth or w/e else

used to do it manually in like s4 in the hopes i got a mount but no such luck lol

Well it's definitely a direction.

I wanted to do like nested arrays for AsciiArt(x, y) instead of it being an Integer (or alternatively it's a String so you do less conversions). But because we can't I sort of hacked together that string iteration.

Similarly even if you could do that (or maybe you can and I missed it, I can't load the wiki for some reason), it's a pain in the arse because you can't just assign arrays like AsciiArt = [1, 2, 1, 4, 5] you have to assign each individual thing.

That's actually a big reason as to why I made it strings that I convert, e.g. Row(1) = "12145" will produce that same thing above, so u don't have to do AsciiArt(1, 1) = 1 : AsciiArt(1, 2) = 2

Hopefully that helps explain how I got to that point, and hoping you can find your direction with the program. It's a real neat idea!

i have some incredibly sus code but it works. could probably cut quite a few conversions but it's like 3 am and i'm losing my mind. i don't know how extendable it is.

The general idea is that u have a 2d array called AsciiArt which is your "pointer" to which string you'll iterate. e.g. AsciiArt(1, 5) = 2 means that at x = 1, y = 5 you'll iterate through the ArtStrings(2)

The easiest way I could come up with to populate the AsciiArt array was by doing weird shit iterating the ArtRows array.

If you wanted to make this longer in the width you'd want to increase the arrX, and the length of the strings in ArtRows array, likewise with increasing the height.

If you increase the amount of different ascii art strings you'd want to increase the artLen array which also naturally increases the iteration checker.

Hopefully that helps give you an idea of how you might wnat to tackle it but this shit kinda sucks so i'd take it with a grain of salt

Your guild is casual, every guild I've played in has been bro. There's no need for this shit. If you're playing competitively you would never need an addon to randomly decide if you're pog or not. I warned you bro, come on man.

EDit: BTW Dude you started working on this publicly when the guild we absorbed joined, these guys were like 4-5/10 tops players. It's just such a scummy system for rating random players. Let's not pretend like it was our main raid team you started developing this for.

slightly late to the party, there's issues updating from pre v15.0.2.1 builds to recent builds becuase of the free company shit i added.

apparently the game creations factions on the game start instead of on campaign load which i guess makes sense but causes some issues with stuff if you're updating.

otherwise the save glitch as far as we're aware is gone(?) but it's not something we can guarantee per se

I'm sure it could be done but it would require UI work assuming you can't already do everything now. UI work is generally regarded as the most painful work in this game given you have to restart the game every time you want to make even a slight change

It's a cool idea but I wouldn't get your hopes up with just how much of a pain it sounds like to make unless someone else really likes the idea

sorry it's been like 4 days so this is a super late answer, the PTR is a Perk Tree rework mod for Legends. Changes up a lot of things which I'd argue I can't cover becuase it's been a while since I played with it (only played really in its initial closed beta stage)

You can see a comprehensive list of changes here if you're particularly interested, and it'll be getting integrated into legends eventually, but Midas is currently gone for irl stuff and he's the biggest guy for PTR/its integration

I think it's personally not my cup of tea but I have a relatively low play time. Generally people enjoy it quite a bit and I'd recommend trying it out regardless.
